HUMAN KINDNESS
The slamming of people running rampart in this community is bothering me. I think we need to remember that we are all human beings capable of fallacy. I wasn't going to say anything, but you know what- I think it's important to address this issue. I think the following statement from my conversation tonight and the quotes I've provided say it all. You don't have to agree. It's just my opinion, but I thought it needed to be said.
foreveramiable (10:25:08 PM): Nobody deserves all of this. Life isn't an easy journey and really we should be spending our time helping each other through it, instead of tearing each other down. We all have our flaws, some are just more easy to spot than others - Junno
Here are some other quotes to ponder:
“The best thing to give to your enemy is forgiveness; to an opponent, tolerance; to a friend, your heart; to your child, a good example; to a father, deference; to your mother, conduct that will make her proud of you; to yourself, respect; to all men, charity.”
-Benjamin Franklin
“Never take a person's dignity: it is worth everything to them, and nothing to you.”
-Frank Barron
“I'm not concerned with your liking or disliking me... All I ask is that you respect me as a human being.”
- Jackie Robinson
“What is the quality of your intent?
Certain people have a way of saying things that shake us at the core. Even when the words do not seem harsh or offensive, the impact is shattering. What we could be experiencing is the intent behind the words. When we intend to do good, we do. When we intend to do harm, it happens. What each of us must come to realize is that our intent always comes through. We cannot sugarcoat the feelings in our heart of hearts. The emotion is the energy that motivates. We cannot ignore what we really want to create. We should be honest and do it the way we feel it. What we owe to ourselves and everyone around is to examine the reasons of our true intent.
My intent will be evident in the results.”
- Thurgood Marshall
and finally:
“Treat others as you want them to treat you because what goes around comes around”
I hope that maybe one of these things written here will mean something to someone. Even if it's only one person, then my mission has been accomplished.
