Everything in its Place - Luna
Who: Luna, Callum
When: August 21, Morning
Where: Divination Classroom, North Tower
Status: Closed/Finished Summary: Luna sets her classroom to rights and is joined by Callum who is on the lookout for boggarts before start of term. They don't find a boggart, but they do find Luna's crystal ball on the ceiling.

Head tilted at a whimsical angle, Luna flicked her wand a few times, some of the drawers and cubby holes behind her and to her left filling with the supplies she'd had scattered about and tucking themselves away with a slight click as wood connected with wood and latches clipped shut.  Smiling satisfiedly, she moved a stack of books to one side of the desk, and then shook her head and shifted them to the other side, finally giving up with that and placing them in the middle.  Humming to herself, she gave the classroom another once over.

Not that she hadn't been teaching in this classroom for long, or that things would have really gone astray, but Luna knew she had a habit of things going missing on her, and though it was still a while before the start of term, she still felt the need to set things to rights.  In fact, she'd likely check in several more times just to be certain she hadn't lost something somewhere.

Things didn't go missing nearly so much as they had when she was a student here, but often enough for her to notice.  She did wonder when they disappeared before the students arrived, though; the culprits generally tended to be the younger set.  So essentially, that meant that either the staff were scarfing the items, or she was simply misplacing them herself.  She really preferred to think the latter, but deep down she knew it was very possible to be the former as well.

Still humming, she breezed about the tower airily, footsteps light as she weaved amongst the desks.

"Perfect," Callum said, unable to keep the dry tone out of his voice. To cover for it, he cast one last leery glance around the room before silently dubbing it to be as safe as a classroom up in a tower could be.

Unless one of the students shoved another out of the window, he didn't think there would be any trouble. Unless, of course, the crystal ball made a habit of floating on the ceiling. All he needed was for Peeves to catch sight of that and get ideas in that vile green head of his.

"Have a good day, then, Professor," he mumbled, moving to take his leave. With this out of the way, he had time to organize his own office a little before September arrived.

"And you," she called rather vacantly from where she was perched on her desk, legs still swinging.

She did glance rather cautiously to the crystal ball a moment, and she wonder who might have charmed it to stay up there. Even Luna wasn't of a mind to think it had gotten there by itself. And she couldn't think offhand of any creatures who might have been able to suspend the object.

Well, no harm done, she supposed.
