James had been a drifting wraith of impatience since early that morning. Thanks to his parents' connections at the Ministry he was guaranteed a ticket to the Cup and assured that he wouldn't have to worry with them staying in his hair for any of the trip. They were needed for security, but all James needed to worry with was watching Lilylu.
After the initial disorientation from traveling by portkey, James found himself ushered through security and on towards the rows of tents where witches and wizards were prepared to camp out for the extent of the game.
"You've got things handled, right?" Harry asked, placing a hand on James' shoulder to keep him from bolting immediately to go in search of his mates. "You'll keep an eye on your sister?" Harry's gaze shifted to Albus as well. "You both will?"
"Of course!" James declared, shifting his broomstick to the other shoulder and slinging his free arm around his sister. "When have I ever lost a sibling?"
Harry's expression was skeptical, but he was needed to help manage security. He'd have to trust that his eldest could handle a little responsibility for once. Or at least hope that Al would pick up the slack.
Less than a minute later the goodbyes were finished and the Potter children were on their way through the colourful declarations of team spirit.
"Oy!" James called hopefully. "Madeleine! Cale! You lot somewhere in this mess?"
