It was, he thought, a small price to pay. He and Lan had hexed each other - but only with things they knew how to undo - so they were now buck-toothed, faces covered in boils, and extremely shaggy eyebrows. Tristan was grinning like an idiot as he made his way to the lake.
"Oh, ears," he said to Lan.
"Miss Sumner's just going to leave you like that when she finds out we did it on purpose," Lan warned him as he slipped his wand out all the same.
"She wouldn't," Tris decided, doing his best not to flinch as Lan flicked his wand toward his ears and he felt them puffing up a little and extending slightly.
"She might," Lan continued as they started off toward the lake. He glanced over to Tristan, and shook his head slightly. The lengths he'd go to to make a point.
Once they were within sight of Eline, Tris' grin broadened. "Oi, I heard something about pictures out here today?"
