September 18 -- Truth or Dare?
Who: Eline, Tristan, Landon, Brenna, Lilly, Sabryna, Danny, Dominique and Ellie.
Where: Room of Requirements
When: After dinner
Rating: PG
Status: Complete.
Summary: Eline arrives first to the Room of Requirements, sets it up and waits for everyone to make their way over. After getting restless she finds Landon waiting outside. They talk a bit until Brenna and Tristan show up (Tristan appears with a bag full of questionable items). Tristan stands watch as the three go into the Room of Requirements. Lilly and Sabryna show up shortly. Sabryna vows to not be the usual ball of energy she is and tries her best not to let out a stream of the usual questions. Dominique and Danny show up together. They joke around a bit with Tristan and soon the games begin, only to be interrupted by Ellie. Her intrusion, meant as a joke between her and Eline, leaves a bad taste on everyone’s tongue and the game is over before it’s even started.

Eline was the first one in the Room of Requirements. It was a bit of a job to sneak out of dinner early, especially when she was aiming to be unnoticed by Lan and Tris, but she had managed it. For whatever reason she just had to prove a point that they weren’t the only ones who could do something fun. It might have been something deeper, but that would also be something she refused to admit.

The girl dropped her messenger bag onto one of the tables and surveyed her work. The room was clad with bean bag chairs, a fireplace and white walls. It was plain, simple and exactly what she was aiming for.

Now all she had to do was wait for everyone else. Fun.

Lan was leaning casually against the wall, consulting a book as if he were deep in thought about the words on the pages. In truth, he was simply waiting for the others to show up who got to play the game tonight.

He knew Tris had sent out a notice, but he wasn't sure who had gotten it - or who was inclined to show.

So he'd wait and see who roamed down the hall.

Where was everyone? Eline had to be waiting for a good ten minutes, but they weren’t so good to her. She had already decided in her mind to call them a bad ten minutes seeing as it was like hours for her.

Maybe everyone was lost? She checked her journal for the notice that Tristan had sent out but he gave easy instructions. Okay it couldn’t be that one…

Maybe Peeves set off an enormous dung bomb in the middle of the Great Hall and everyone was trying to get it out of their hair? Unlikely, but she’d check.

Eline exited the Room of Requirements, and almost jumped out of her skin when she saw Landon. “You scared me!” she exclaimed, a hand against her heart which was beating with a quick tempo.

Lan grinned slightly. "Sorry. Just waiting out here to make sure everyone knows where to head." While he reasoned most of them had been up here already, for one reason or another, it wouldn't hurt to guide the players in - and find a reason to shoo off the ones they didn't want around.

"I think we could've been a little more specific with the time," he admitted. "But we'll know, for next time."

“Yeah… I’m the only one here so far.” Eline swiped her bangs out of her eyes and glanced into the room. She supposed she should leave the door open so the Room of Requirements wouldn’t reset…

“How many people d’you think are coming?” She asked returning her gaze to Lan. If there was too many people it would be hard to manage, if there were too little then it could probably get boring. Things had to be just right, they always did when it came to everything.

"Dunno," he admitted. "We got the notice out kind of late," he pointed out. "Depends who's interested, and who has time."

He glanced into the room before he glanced up and down the hallway.

Brenna had been intrigued more than anything else, so after dinner - and after making sure there wasn't a quidditch match tonight - Brenna headed up to the seventh floor. Her head cocked curiously when she saw the two of them standing there.

"Didn't know it was a private party," she teased as she moved closer, leaning against the tapestry across from the door. "I can head out if you wanted to be aloooonnne," she teased Eli.

Eline rolled her eyes and smiled at Brenna’s arrival. Good, someone to make things a little less about the facts and the game. She shifted her weight onto her left leg and pushed a wayward curl behind her ear.

“Oh it is, you‘re just invited,” she said calmly, folding her hands behind her back. Leave it to Brenna to make her laugh.

Whistling, Tristan strolled up the stairs, his bookbag slung over his shoulder. it didn't contain books though. Oh, no. What was a truth or dare game without props?

"Everything but the rubber chicken," Tris said, moving the bag for emphasis before handing it to Lan. "So we'll have to skip that dare." He grinned wickedly before gesturing. "You guys go ahead inside if you want. I'll stand out here. Pretend I'm lost or something."

"Yeah, 'cause everyone will buy that," Landon teased him before he started toward the room with the bag. "C'mon, guys," he said to Brenna and Eli as he eased into the room.

Brenna eyed Tristan. "Rubber chicken?" When he just grinned and didn't answer, she shook her head and started into the room after Lan.

Eline sent a quizzical expression Brenna’s way, mouthed ‘Rubber chicken?’ and then followed them inside. Just mentioning the prospect of a dare involving rubber chickens made Eline wonder what she was about to get involved in. Well, it couldn’t be too bad.

She flopped down onto one of the bean bag chairs and motioned for Brenna to join her. “So. This sounds like it’ll be fun. Please tell me what you were planning with that rubber chicken, though?” Eline asked Landon, perking an eyebrow.

Lan shook his head. "Not my dare to tell about," he admitted with a slight grin. He honestly couldn't recall a rubber chicken even coming up in their discussions, and reasoned it must have been something Tris had simply said for the sake of the girls.

Or something he'd come up with afterward.

Settling down into one of the chairs, he held the bag close to him, peering inside to see what Tristan had brought up.

Brenna eyed Lan and the bag before she moved to settle down next to Eli. She did wonder who else had seen the note, and wished she'd brought her journal to find out if anyone had replied.

Well, they'd see, she supposed.

Eline was about to say something, but instead turned to Brenna. "I wonder if any of the prefects will come... that'd be fun to see." Eline smiled to herself thinking about the possibilities. Obviously she wouldn't go down without a fight, or at least not without an insult.

She peaked inside her journal and sighed when she saw nothing had changed.

Landon shook his head. "We locked the entry against prefect, and prefect-friends," he said. "Just to be safe. Wouldn't want them crashing our fun."

"What about the fun prefects?" Brenna said absently before she dug around in her pockets until she came up with an acid pop.

"Do you know any fun prefects?" He grinned, then glanced to the door as Tris stuck his head in.

"Are we keeping Potter's baby sister out?" he asked. "How's his hexing been lately? Something we need to worry about?"

"I'd worry more about her hexing if you tried to keep her out," Lan said to Tristan. "We can handle the elder Potter."

"If you're wrong, I'm using you as a shield," Tris mock threatened before he let Lily into the room.

“Hey Lilly,” Eline said amiably, absentmindedly tucking a strand of hair behind her ear again. Brenna taking out her candy reminded Eline that she had some chocolate frogs in her bag.

She took out her wand and pointed to her bag, which was lying on a table across the room. “Accio bag,” she muttered and it flew to her. She pulled a chocolate frog out munched on it happily. “Anyone want one?” She asked.

Lily wandered in curiously. "You lot didn't invite James, did you?" She flopped down into one of the unoccupied chairs, tugging absently at the fabric covering it before she looked across to Landon.

"We didn't not invite him," he offered, grinning a little. "For some reason though, I don't think he likes Tris much."

He smiled to Eli, but waved off the offer of a frog.

"Hope he doesn't show," Brenna murmured as she crossed her eyes and stuck out her tongue to try to see if it was changing color yet. "No offense," she added belatedly with a glance to Lily.

Ellie Moon's prefect badge gleamed in the fire's luminance as she slammed the door open making a dramatical thump. She smirked and chuckled lowly,"Kiddies." She looked quite evil to the group with that badge clipped neatly onto her outfit and the way it gleamed with her dark eyes,"Now I'll inform all the heads of your individual houses." She spoke melodically like she was enjoying this as if this was all part of a play. Ellie flicked her hair back,"And you guys are definitely in for it. Big.Time.Trouble."

Eline smirked, but she covered her mouth to conceal it. She widened her eyes, trying to appear in shock. How could she make this convincing? Oh blame everything on someone else, of course. That’s what she’d naturally do. Eline, sadly enough, was that type of person. They’d believe it.

She hoped.

“Tristan I thought you locked your entry!” She exclaimed. “Now look what you did! We're probably going to get detention for weeks!"

"I did," he replied with a faint smile on his lips. Clearly, he'd missed a tail-kisser along the way. He'd have to set Lan on figuring out who that was.

"So, really, Ms Moon, you can kindly show yourself back out. Autumn, dear, dear friend of mine and - might I mention, Head Girl? - already knows what we're up to, and has no problem with it."

He smirked faintly before he glanced to Lan in case they'd need to quote the bit where Autumn had given them the go-ahead.

Lily looked a little terrified, but it looked like Tristan was handling things, so she just remained quiet and kind of tried to be small.

Lan rolled his eyes, slipping out his journal - just in case. "Wonder who the mole is," he murmured to Tristan as he started flipping through the recent entries.

Danny was entirely distrusting of this whole situation. Something was off, but he couldn't put his finger on what. Hazel eyes hardened, gazing between the others, trying to fathom where exactly this had gone wrong. Well, obviously the problem stemmed from the intruder, but how precisely had she gotten wind of it?

"I bet it's someone in this room," he suggested quietly to Lan, though he did worry that particular statement might place the blame squarely on him.

He just had to hope those involved would take it on good faith that he was clean in this.

Bryn had looked up at Ellie's entry, and shrieked slightly, hiding behind her chair. She peeked her head over the top of it now, wondering if she'd lost - had it been more than a minute? - and reasoning that was a stupid thing to be thinking about since the game might be... over now.

"It wasn't me I swear," she whispered urgently to Lan and Tristan when she overheard Danny. "I'm no nark - I just wanted to play!"

Her eyes travelled fearfully to Ellie, wondering what was going to happen next.

Eline bit her lip as she began to giggle like Ellie. She kind of felt bad for scaring some of them but it was all in good fun. It was a wonder that they didn’t point the finger at Eline. It wasn’t like it was a secret that she was good friends with Ellie but it wasn’t like they waved it in peoples faces either…

“I guess so,” Eline said. She looked at her friend and smiled, then scanned the faces of the group. She hoped they wouldn’t be mad. “It was a joke, all in good fun, no?”

"Oh, my god you guys," Brenna muttered. She glanced to the others - mostly Tristan - before she shrugged.

"Right," the wolf murmured. "Well, now that the mood's all good and shattered, think I'll head out," he decided as he reached for his bag. "Good job, guys," he replied to them, blue eyes glittering with annoyance.

"Tris ..." Lan sighed as he pushed up to his feet. He shot a vaguely apologetic glance to the girls, but they could carry on without the wolf.

Lily cocked her head. "How'd you even get in? Thought the room locked people out when there were already people in it, yeah?"

That was the story she'd heard, anyway; clearly, the prefect knew something different.

Ellie walked over to Eline's side,"Well invitation. You see Eline had invited me to scare you all."She smiled at the young girl.

Still nonplussed, Danny stood to leave, eyes rolling.

"Well you lot, it's been fun, but if it's just going to be a bunch of giggling girls, I think I'll skip out, thanks," he replied as he gathered what little he'd brought with him.

He did wonder what he'd get up to now, but ... well, it wasn't as if he had anything specific to do. Save curfew, he had few limitations just then. Surely he'd figure something out.

Dominique watched the exchange through cold, calculating eyes. While she was a 'puff, she wasn't so much as a pushover as everyone expected. Sure, she was reserving judgement for the time being, but her amnesty only extended so far.

Bryn was uncharacteristically quiet, her eyes trailing over and watching Tristan and Danny go. Shifting her eyes to the ground, she watched as she kicked her feet absently. This sort of thing was supposed to be fun, and right now... she wasn't feeling the fun.

She wondered if she'd just missed the funny in the joke. She did that sometimes. Maybe Danny and Tristan had as well.

Either way, she was mostly silent now.

"Think it's a little late for not ruining the fun," Lan said to Ellie before he followed the guys out.

Lily glanced over to Dominique before flicking her eyes to Brenna and the other girls.

This was ... awkward. "Right, well, if we're not having a game, I'm going to go pester James," she decided as she stood up to follow the others out.

Brenna blinked, and sighed, then flopped back against the beanbag chair. "Right, so, are we doing this or are we calling it or what?"
