Characters: Chase and Nessie Location: her new room Time: monday, late afternoon Summary: catching up, Talking Status: in progress Warnings: low
Chase wasn't sure what to expect as he headed to Nessie's new room. Things were...awkward. Whole worlds of it. And he knew he was being a dumbass. He knew it. And yet that didn't stop him from feeling dumb and pissy and jealous. He really hated that about himself. He wasn't that guy. Or, he guessed, he hadn't ever been that guy before, he wasn't sure why it was coming out now. It should go away though because he was a friend here, and he was going to keep being a friend and he needed to get over himself, and fast.
He drew in a deep breath and let it out in a rush before he raised his hand to knock on Nessie's door. He stepped back a pace so he wasn't looming, and he tried not to fidget. Which he failed at, because he bounced back and forth between the balls of his feet. Staying still never had been Chase's strong suit.
