Vanessa knelt down, silent for the moment as she began to gather up her things, shaking her head. If he was staring at her, she didn't notice it. While she was very well aware she was lovely, and had been gifted with good features, it wasn't something she paid much mind to. Personalities, in her opinion, held far more stock than looks. You only needed someone attractive enough as to not be disgusted.
The boy was rambling. She watched him for a long moment as he kept on talking and then reached out, laying a hand onto his forearm to pat it reassuringly. Vanessa cleared her throat and 'spoke' or rather, placed her thoughts into his head.
It's alright, no smiting necessary. I wasn't paying attention, either. I'm alright, thank you. Are you? Alright?
The words popped into his head clear as day, not necessarily in her voice but in a way that was distinctly feminine, making it increasingly clear what the origin of the words were.
