It was the first time he'd felt honestly scared here. He'd felt uncomfortable sometimes, and out of his element, but he hadn't thought through anything like that happening. It made logical sense that there would be some pretty bad unsavory types with the sort of work they did, but still. That was just creepy as hell, and he knew he probably wasn't going to sleep super great tonight. Possibly ever again. So he hugged her tight, and recognized they were clinging together like kids, but he was sorta okay with that. Hell, he would have been okay with hiding under the bed at this point.
He nodded, knowing she did have a way to defend herself and stuff, but he had to know what she could do too, right? What if he had counteractive powers? Or just hit her from behind or something? He had zero reason to believe something like that would happen, but he cared about her, so his brain was doing panicked sprints in terrible directions.
"Kay," he said. "Still though, I just - I know I have a couple confusion bombs, you just run and throw it back at him hard, and it'd give you time to get somewhere safe," he told her. Not that he knew where would be safe here. He'd say a handler's room, but if that dude killed handlers...
"And you know if you ever need me I'm there, right?" he asked, feeling the need to put that out there officially.
