Meredith honestly did not remember the last time she'd been hugged. The sensation was so foreign, but god it felt good. Like, ridiculously better than she could ever have imagined, because for a second, she felt wanted, and she believed him that he had her and it would be okay.
And then Death was marking his territory again, pretty blatantly with the ear nibbles, and Adrian was gone. Which she wanted to be sad about, but the emotion just wasn't accessible. Instead, she smiled because he told her she was staying, and she did head into the room properly. She climbed up onto the top bunk and laid out on it, gazing at everyone over the side of it. MM. It was comfy up here.
Then she leaned way over and swung her hair in front of Nessie. "Boo!" she said, because she had caught it that the girl was afraid of her. She made spooky ghost sounds, all 'wooooOOOOoooo'.
Then her attention was pulled back to the rest of the group. "I'll play a game."
