There were a lot worse things she could be doing back home then what she was about to do right now, which was throw a bunch of things in a bag and adventure out into the night to explore the landscape of a planet she had no idea what was on it besides the people she'd encountered on the resort.

Talking to herself Mercy went in circles trying to find some more clothing to stuff in her gym bag which was nicely replicated on the planet, nicely jammed under her bed where it always was. “Shirt, shirt..need another shirt.” She chanted as she walked around her room taking one from the floor giving it a sniff then shoved it in her bag, it was a little disturbing that the planet manged to capture the sent of her ignored laundry that littered the bedroom floor.

“I swear I'm going to turn around next and come face to face with that damed walking stick or Stephan cracking and appearing out of no where to tell me his latest musing.” She sighed, she missed home dearly and this place was like a taunting reminder but she didn't think she could handle changing her room to look like something else so she'd deal.

She'd planned to meet Faith outside the main building leaving them ample time to get going before the sun went down though neither of them seemed to have an issue with roaming around at night so this was a good time as any to head out to become one with nature all over again. So far Mercy liked this Faith girl she seemed tough and tough girls were a rare item back in Kennewick except for Honey, one of the female wolves and Jane from her kick boxing class. It was about time she thought she'd make a friend a girl had to have at least one to knock around with.

Her gym bag was slung over her shoulders wearing it on her back in the most comfortable way she could see fit without splitting her spine, an adventure that didn't lead to a grizzly death was a warm welcome to her world. She spotted the lighter haired woman and smiled then gave a rather dorky wave. “Hey! You ready? Oh, I brought along something cool to show off to you, and just in case we need it.” Mercy pulled a very exquisite looking blue jeweled dragger from it's case on the belt loop in her jeans. “Girl can't leave home with out a mini magical sword now can she?” Mercy smirked looking into the wide brown eyes of the other woman.

It had been a good day so far. She'd had a lot of fun with meeting Spike and showing him around. The blond vampire was always good for a laugh, and she'd had a good time with him. Of all the people from her world to show up, there could be much worse choices. He had a sort of wit about him that amused her. Not to mention he'd offered to take Snape off her hands, which didn't exactly break her heart.

Still, once she'd settled him, she'd taken off pretty quick. Nothing could keep her attention for all that long. The offer she'd made to Mercy was genuine. She really didn't know anyone on the Planet, and the dark-haired girl seemed pretty cool. Not as stupid as Faith found most girls, anyway, which made her pretty much alright with Faith. and this camp out thing sounded awesome, too.

The woman wasn't exactly a high-maintenance packer. She'd had to pick up and move too many times for that. So it only took her a couple of minutes to pack up everything into a backpack. Honestly, she didn't take much. Just a couple of articles of clothing and a toothbrush, and she was ready to go. She was all about the packing light.

Soon enough, she was ready to go. It took her next to no time to get to the appointed meeting place. From there, she wasn't waiting long at all before the dark-haired, tattooed woman came up. Faith gave her a wave and a bit of a smile, beyond amused by the dorky wave. She liked how this chick didn't take herself too seriously. In her experience, most women did.

"Sup, girl?" She looked her over and nodded, deciding she approved. The girl had dressed in a practical manner, just as Faith herself had. Buffy was all about fighting in heels. Faith wasn't. She wore clothing that made sense for what she was doing. Although, the tiny tank top she wore was a bit extreme, but she liked the way it looked so it stayed. "So, let's get this show on the road, yeah?"

Mercy considered herself to be a practical kind of girl, who had no need for over doing things as most females did. No buckets of make up, no hair products and definitely no high heels to squat her toes. She wore her favorite pair of oil stained jeans along with a faded university T-Shirt from her short stint gaining a history degree. Her long black hair was in a braided pony tail finished her look.

It appeared to her that they already had a few things in common as she looked over the other woman who was just as casual as she was and just as clean. “Nice kicks.” She nodded looking down at the other's running shoes. She appreciated a good pair of sneakers she'd be lost without her own.

“Yeah time to move out, I want to hear about your adventures as this bad ass slayer girl yeah?” She smiled laughing a little, she knew a lot of vampires but never meet a slayer. "So you know Spike then? He's of your world?" She questioned. Mercy started walking leading the way but not really knowing where it was they were going. There was a small map of the resort layout in her back pocket however she felt more like seeing where they ended up, this was one of the times she could say she was fallowing her nose.

The buildings were getting further behind them as they walked, the sun was slowly threating to go down. Overall it was a great day for this sort of thing, warm with a slight cool breeze. Mercy loved the way the outdoors smelled, sometimes it made her feel more at home then her trailer had. Here on the planet her Coyote heighten senses picked up some interesting scents flowers, trees and a sort of sugary aroma she couldn't quite pinpoint the source of.

Oddly enough she noticed Faith had the most alluring aroma of all coming from her, something she took to be a more natural thing then anything else it was sort of bitter sweet. Maybe it was the other woman's enhancement as a Slayer that made the distinction between her and other humans Mercy came in contact with.

A rustling in the bushes stopped her in her tracks as they came to the line of trees that started the forest which bordered the resort land. “Silly rabbit.” She laughed then watched the thing dart across their path. “I have this gut feeling that you and me are going to be about the most dangerous things lurking in these woods don't you think?” She smirked and kept walking.

Faith nodded in approval, a rare expression on her face. It was much more usual for her to be smirking or something like that. But the girl had dressed in a way that Faith completely approved of, which was pretty rare. She didn't comment, but the smile and nod spoke volumes to anyone who knew her, or anyone who was just paying attention.

"Let's do this, then." She flicked her dark hair, worn long and loose, over her shoulder and grinned at the playful comment. "Hmm? Hell yeah, I know Spike. One of the few vamps I could handle back there." God knows, Angel had pissed her off to no end. Attempting to seduce him had been a major pain in the ass. She couldn't stand him.

The two women set off together, and for once, Faith actually felt sort of comfortable around another girl. It wasn't all that usual, but then, clearly today was a day of firsts. It was a gorgeous day, heading toward dusk now, but then the night never bothered her. In fact, like her chosen prey, she was much more active in the dark hours. It was still warm, and Faith took off the jean jacket she was wearing and tied it around her waist.

"What's to tell?" but despite that comment, she quickly launched into a story. "I track down vamps and kill them. Sometimes demons and things, too. You know, for variety." She grinned, clearly not actually minding talking about herself now that she was into it. "Saved the world a bunch of times, you know, kept the Hellmouth from opening... the Hellmouth, it's this nasty gate to hell underneath the high school in Sunnydale."

She glanced over to see how much of this the girl was following. It was a bit convoluted, she would admit, but she was trying to simplify. "So, you said some shit about a friend being framed or something?" She arched an eyebrow at the other girl, a little surprised that she was actually trying to get her to talk. That wasn't at all usual for her, normally she would hog the spotlight and talk all night if given the chance.

Her thoughts were cut off by the bunny darting across the path. From her pocket, she instinctively pulled a wooden stake and held it ready. Her body dropped into fighting form. But when she saw what it was, she laughed at herself and quickly put the wooden stake back in its hiding place. "Yeah, chicky, I think you're right on that one." She grinned as they headed deeper into the woods, which were growing darker as the sun set.

The women both walked deeper into the woods it had been a long time since she did this kind of thing on two legs so it was a change but parts of her wanted to strip naked and run the rest of the way as her Coyote self but if she did she wouldn't be able to communicate with the other woman so this was going to have to do and in reality it wasn't so bad. She laughed when Faith pulled out the wood on the rabbit. “Woah let him go I'm sure the planet can give us our supper.” She snickered and gave the woman a nudge.

She nodded her head at Faith's answer. “I figured he might be so I guess that makes Spike your Stephan? He's a vampire friend of mine who smells like popcorn and drives his own version of the wagon from scooby do, not your run of the mill vamp. As much as I'd like to stake him sometimes, I'd rather keep him around for the entertainment value.” She smirked and chuckled as they kept walking along the path and were able to see some mountains in the distance.

Mercy listed to Faith speak about her “job” and for the first time in a long time she actually gave a flying fig what another woman was saying, she was very interested actually and the pleasant smell coming from the other made it easy for her nose not to wander. “Shit and I thought I had it tough at the garage and dealing with the werewolves. A whole fucking Hellmouth huh?” She shook her head. “So there's like a pile of you Slayers?” She questioned then bit her lip when it came to Zee.

“Yes, Zee is being framed for murder. You see he's a Fae and the Fae have magical powers the humans don't know much about..yet all they know is that they are around. The Fae all live on this reserve for safety kind of like my people the Natives, anyway there were a series of murders on the reserve and Zee found one of the bodies and was taken into custody. They want to pin it on Zee and make the Fae look dangerous. So I was brought in by another Fae who goes by the name Uncle Mike to use my snout to investigate and see if I in Coyote from could pick up something at the crime scenes no one else could to free him.” she sighed thinking of home and what she should be doing right now.

“I've known Zee for a very long time and even though he is one of the oldest and a very powerful Fae I know he's not capable of murder. He gave me the job at the garage teaching me everything he knows. I took over once he retried so now I own my shop..well the bank does. ” She laughed realizing she was running on and on. “I guess someone else will have to save him now..”

“Oh my god I haven't talked this much in such a long time.” He face was a little red and she smiled. “And there you are listening to me, you can say shut the hell up ya know?”

Faith looked consideringly at the fleeing rabbit. "But them's good eatin'!" She grinned, putting on a hillbilly accent that was over the top. But in reality, she had eaten many feral rabbits in her time. Hey, a girl had to eat, right? And sometimes she hadn't exactly been rolling in the dough. Here, of course, everything was provided. Finding food wasn't a chore she was going to miss, really.

"I guess?" She didn't know who Stephan was, but was shaking her head as Mercy explained. "Nah, girl, Spike doesn't smell like popcorn. He smells like..." She paused to think about that. "Well, I dunno, not food though. I almost have staked him a few times, but he's not so bad since he got all souled and shit, you know?"

She grinned at Mercy's interest. "Yeah, well. There used to be only one Slayer, that would be B. But then she got herself wasted, dead for a couple of minutes, you know? And some other chick was made a Slayer. B was revived, but the new Slayer didn't get... de-Slayered. Kendra, the new girl, got knocked off, and that's when I came into the picture." She laughed a little. "So two Slayers, before this red-head witch chick did some crazy wicked mojo and turned like all the potential Slayers into the real deal."

For once, Faith actually listened as they went deeper into the forest. It was rapidly growing dark, but being a Slayer she could see pretty well in this level of light. "Man, that's a bad rap. When I went to the slammer, I deserved it." Of course, she could have broken out any time, but she hadn't. She didn't think about that much, but deep down, she supposed she knew that she needed the time to chill out and heal emotionally. Not that she'd ever say anything so flakey.

"Hey, hold up..." She'd seen something she hadn't expected, and wanted to investigate. Through the trees, there was a large hill. A dark area in the rocky surface made her wonder... She headed over, threading through the trees until she was closer. "Fuckin' A! Caves!"

Mercy couldn't help but giggle at the other woman she did a damn good hick impersonation and added with some of her own. “Dang it Martha May, dat's all wea bin eatin'! can't we have squirrel tonight?” She huffed exonerating and cracked up again. This she decided was going to be a lot of fun especially since Faith was turning out to be a rare breed of chick that actually got along with her.

She nodded listening to Faith talk about Spike walking along the path twigs, rocks and dirt crunching under their sneakers. “When I got near him earlier today I picked up a little ode to bullshit, sound about right?” She snickered. “Ah gotta love those vampires.” She rolled her eyes sarcastically. “I was once strapped to the seethe's truth chair you can't lie while on it because of it's magic and the fact that your hands are pushed down over metal spikes, blood gives the thing it's power. It pretty much can decipher if the memories in ones head of an event are planted there or fact, and I was on the chopping block over dead vampires.”

“So that's how it works hmm? One chosen one until she kicks the bucket then others are anointed in that position. I'm guessing you and this Buffy never got along? Or is something else I sense when you speak of her then disregard and spite?” She questioned and hoped it wasn't too much of a touchy topic to be asking the woman but she seemed cool enough and besides this seems like sharing hour.

“I can't imagine what it must be like for Zee or anyone else to be in there really if they deserve it or not, you step in there and suddenly you are not human anymore and you have no rights, they do what ever they like to prisoners and treat them like caged animals. Zee could also escape as he pleased he has the power over metals and could slip through the bars in a flash, he won't because something like that is below him.” She sighed a little thinking about her friend then was distracted by the caves as they came closer.

Mercy lead the way she could see abnormally well in the dark but for the sake of Faith she turned to the planet for a little assistance. “Planet can we have a little light?” With her request there was a small flicker and white lights that looked like a string of Christmas lights were strung along the cave walks lighting the place. Mercy stopped for a second and turned to Faith. “Do you hear water?” Fallowing the lights inside the cave as they got deeper they had come to something that looked miraculous. Before them was a huge waterfall that flowed into a pond, the stream ran off into another deeper cave opening and disappeared into the darkness.

She stopped and looked at it in awe, it was beautiful and almost glowing with the jeweled rocks beaded into the cave walls of many dark colours, purple, reds, greens and oranges, some were clear as well. “Holy mother of god!” She yelled in running closer to the water. “Come on swim with me! And this is definitely where we are staying.”

Faith just smirked for a second and then shook her head. "Naw, c'mon now... you know all the squirrels done got poisoned again." She was actually quite amused, and flashed a grin at the other woman. This one didn't take herself too seriously, which was definitely something that Faith looked for in someone she hung out with.

Mercy's description of Spike amused her as well. "Yeah, kinda. He's not so bad, though. Way better than Angel." She wrinkled up her nose, remembering how annoying the dark-haired vampire had been. She honestly couldn't really stand to be around him. Spike might have a soul, but he was a lot more interesting than Angel would ever be. "He's a badass, you know? It's alright." She shook her head. "Man, that sucked. There would have been some serious slay-age if anyone had done that shit to be."

There was a long pause as she walked toward the cave mouth, and she thought about what Mercy had said. "B is... alright, I guess. She's just way uptight, you know? Not really able to find the fun." She bit her lower lip for a second. "But, like, whatever. No big. I'm here, she isn't. And anyway, the whole Slayer thing isn't an exclusive club anymore."

They stopped in the flickering lights, both just staring for awhile. Faith wasn't awed by much, in fact she tended to make fun of things other people found touching. But this was enough to even shut her up for a few moments. And when she did speak, all she could seem to say was "Woah." in a sort of quiet voice.

She pulled herself out of it soon enough, of course. She was good at rallying after pretty much anything, including rare beauty. "Well, this doesn't suck..." She started stripping of her clothing, since she hadn't brought a bathing suit. Whatever, Mercy could deal with it. It wasn't the first time or the last that Faith had gone swimming naked. Rushing past Mercy, she dove into the water and shivered in delight.

"Wicked, man! It's freezing!" But she was thrilled, really, and quickly swam across the pool. "Hey, girl! Over there!" She pointed to a nearby steaming pool, clearly some sort of hot springs.
