After a very long night of little sleep and a fair amount of sneezing and dry heaving Gwen dressed and stumbled into the resort's cafe. All she wanted at the moment was simple: coffee black enough to peel paint (and hopefully clear up her clogged nose). She found the steaming cup waiting and once she took her first sip she was blown away (almost spitting out that first sip), the coffee was the exact same kind Ianto brewed every morning in the hub. "Curious, this place must know something about out little habits" making a quick note in her notebook. But anyone could see what Gwen could not see, she was coming down with a nasty cold. Her eyes were bloodshot and caked in gunk, her nose stopped up and the blinding headache not helping matters.

She sneezed into a tissue as she sipped her coffee and tried to hid the fact she just wanted to go right back to bed (and basically pass out).

George walked into the cafe decidedly. If everything else sucked, at least here they had to have waffles, oatmeal and raisins, or both. And coffee. Strong coffee.

She didn't know what to do - there wasn't anyone to order from, or even a counter per se.

Looking around, she found a plate of waffles, a bottle of syrup, a bowl of oatmeal and a cup of coffee on someone else's table. Timidly she approached the black haired woman (who seemed closer to death than George, and she was dead already) with a faint smile.

"Uhh...Sorry. I suppose this is for me..." She told the woman apologetically, getting ready to take her stuff to another table.

	"I just have the coffee black enough to peel paint" Gwen took her own coffee to avoid any mix-ups. "Never been a big fan of anything beyond coffee this early and I'm Gwen" deciding in spite of her misery she would at least be nice, no harm was meant after all. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	George smiled awkwardly at the woman as she tried to take the plates and the mug at the same time, unsuccessfully. However, the woman continued talking about her tastes in coffee and then mentioned her name. With this, George stuck around and put the plates down. She supposed she'd have to introduce herself back. 	"Hi, sorry bout the sneezing. Must be a sinus thing" Gwen weakly joked off the fact she looked miserable. "How do you take your coffee?" mostly curious and half trying to be social, blame the ex cop in her for that one. She sneezed into her tissue at that moment, mostly trying to hide the fact she basically wanted to pass out. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

George smiled faintly with a hint of disgust. It probably was sinus, from the looks of it. She couldn't help but wonder why the woman called Gwen bothered getting out of bed this morning in that state.

As George was going to answer her question, Gwen sneezed again and George flinched slightly, gaining composure seconds after.

"I...Black. Two sugars." She said casually, and then moved to look right at Gwen's face. "You don't look so good...Are you sure you should be walking around?" She asked, half worried half cliché, for lack of better conversation. Of course if Gwen wasn't feeling up to it, she wouldn't have gotten out of bed. Unless she had something very important to do - but it didn't look that way.

	"I was hoping to find my friend, the guy I arrived with" Gwen spoke of Jack in a general sense. "To be honest I feel crummy and well I figured coffee strong enough to peel paint would help, usually clears me up in a hurry" she was honest. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

George nodded, wondering where that accent might be from. She started thinking her food was probably getting cold and Gwen didn't seem to want to invite her to sit down.

"Oh, okay. I'll get out of your hair, then." She said smiling, trying again to move her things. "Feel better."

This wasn't the best way to end it since, well, she couldn't end it while most of her stuff was still in Gwen's table.

	"Thanks" as Gwen grabbed her coffee and decided to make the trek back to her building. At least she might be able to link back with Jack and maybe get a little more info. (Reply to this) (Parent)
