DAY 24
Who: George and OTA
When: Day 24, morning
What: George arrives, and she's pissed.
Where: In the middle of the ski resort, somewhere on the tracks, probably.
Rating: Pg for possible language
Status: Complete

George couldn't explain exactly how it had felt. She had no idea how it had felt. One minute she was walking to Der Waffle Haus, and the next she was in some kind of harsh snow-covered place. Beautiful sight, sure, but perhaps it would become a little more beautiful once she figured out where the hell she was, and what the hell she was doing wherever the hell she was at.

She looked around, spinning her shoes in the same spot a few times, and wincing from the sun's reflexion on the snowy banks. Had she finally crossed over to wherever the souls she reaped crossed over to? She looked around again moving only her eyes. George was about to start yelling in a very fitting rage.

Oh, god, had she died? How could she have died, if she was already dead, and if she didn't remember dying? The first time around, she remembered it vividly...Somewhat. This time, nothing came to mind. No toilet seat, no toilet anything. She was most definitely not dead.
Then what?

“Hello?” She tried, suspiciously. Taking one tiny step forward, she cringed, as if expecting for something awful to happen. Nothing did.

Little wrinkles were forming on the corners of George's lips, which meant only one thing: She was getting pissed. Not only was she a somewhat shady type of person – what with being technically dead and all, but now she was technically dead and missing, most likely. Tapping her left foot only to sink it on the snow, George's hands had made their way to her waist.

“Alright, now, that's enough. I know there must be someone out there to explain this bullshit, so show yourself. Now.” She said, loudly. Nobody showed up for the whole five seconds George waited for a response, so she decided to walk around until she found something remotely alive. Even Bigfoot would do at this point.

Tonks didn't know what George was thinking, and probably wouldn't have taken offense even if she had. She wasn't really the type, being very amiable and friendly, and also compassionate. She remembered being brought her, and how disconcerting it had all been, and couldn't really blame anyone for feeling the same.

"Dead? Well, obviously you're not an Inferi. You can talk." She looked over appraisingly at the girl, but didn't show any fear. She was, after all, an Auror. "Not dead, dead? A vampire? You don't look like a vampire..." She frowned thoughtfully, trying to figure this girl out.

"A ghost, then?" She brightened up. At Hogwarts, she'd made friends with many of the ghosts. "Well, I've never heard of a reaper. What's that?" She liked to learn new things, but looked slightly disconcerted when she realized that she'd done it again. She was one of the few witches here, and she really should stop going around calling people muggles.

"A muggle is just a person who can't do magic." She explained as she held the door open for George.

George rolled her eyes at all the weird name-dropping. What the hell was an inferi anyway? And vampire?! Seriously, who didn't know what a reaper was?

"Not a-" George was beginning to tell her she wasn't a ghost, but Tonks had already moved on. Again, not knowing what a reaper was.

"Well I don't know if you call what I do magic, I mean... I never thought about it, actually." George told Tonks, shrugging and entering the building at the same time. "Thanks." She mumbled in Tonks' direction.

Then, she stopped dead in front of the apparent witch and flailed her arms about while she spoke. "I'm a... Well, I take people's souls away from their bodies right before they die horrible deaths." She said, pausing many times between the beginning and the end of that simple sentence.

It was probably a good thing that Tonks was used to having people rolling their eyes at her. As it was, she simply shrugged it off. It wasn't worth remarking on. When you tripped over thin air as much as she did, you got used to people being a little sarcastic with you. She simply continued walking as they chatted, and she was a friendly enough person to enjoy it, as well.

"Well, do you use a wand? Because most magic does, you know, but not all... but mostly it does." She nodded as she led the way down the hallways towards the main room with the plaque in it. But even she was a bit shaken as she was told George's job discription.

"I... I see." She turned to look at the girl thoughtfully for a few moments. "But you don't kill them, right?" She tilted her head to the side, her brain working away. "I mean, if you kill them, I would have a problem with that, but if not, well, it just seems to me you got stuck with an odd sort of job that most wouldn't want."

George looked sideways at Tonks. Wand? The tiny little stick Tonks had been holding?

"No wand. I use my hands." George told her, sighing heavily. "I told you, I take their souls before they die, I'm not responsible for whatever happens to them. That's something else's business altogether..." She continued, and looked away thoughtfully. Were there any gravellings here, too, she wondered.

"Tell me about not wanting, I got toilet, then I got reaped, and then I got pulled. Story of my life, getting dragged around by someone else..."
