Who: Riddick and Vaako
When: Day 23 Morning
What:Finally having that talk.
Where: Their room.
Rating: Ugh not sure yet let's go with TBA the moment it needs to be changed, I will.
Status: Incomplete, active

It had taken a lot longer for Riddick to recover than he thought. But no where near as long as Cylus who had suffered greater than he had. And he cursed himself for not getting their sooner, for not being stronger against Lestat. This damn Rage was a curse in times like that. But then… the Rage… Cylus was Furyan which was so odd. He was said to be the last. Yet.. He saw it with his on two eyes. The fact that he and Cylus joined together, their Rage’s mixing. It made what Riddick thought he was feeling, all that he thought he knew when it came to his First Among Commanders, ring true. It made it real.

And it scared him. Because as he finally regained his strength he was sitting by the bed, watching as Cylus peacefully slept. He wasn’t as pale as he was before. He was deep in color, the faint blue print still on his chest. And Riddick’s hand itched. He knew if he placed his hand on Vaako’s chest, the print would be a perfect match to his hand. It was freaking scary to him.

Closing his eyes, Riddick tried to relax, to focus. And it worked until a flash..an odd flash of a moment long ago came into his mind. A moment that he had forgotten until now and it unnerved him. He shook slightly and his eyes flew opened and he looked down at the sleeping man, focusing on him and no the image that flew into his mind and that was now trying to come further into the front, force Riddick to think about it. He refused. It was a mistake and a long time ago.

Standing, he moved to the bath to clean up, to make himself think about Vaako and the talk he knew was to come the moment he woke up. It was time to talk about all that went down. Maybe once they had the disturbing thoughts would go away. Riddick just needed to know if what he felt… was returned. It was like.. He didn’t have a choice. He honestly felt he didn’t have a choice in how he felt. And he wasn’t sure he liked it though it did just feel natural.

Someone was watching him... he awoke from strange dreams, intertwined images from his old life and his new life, Necromonger commander and human, all floating around in his head. The Ranger, the Lord Marshal both past and present, even the dark potions master that he'd met in the library. The star woman, Dame Vaako... it all got quite confusing.

He was glad to have eyes on him that dragged him up from his sleep. His dreams had been troubling, to say the least. He sat up a little in the bed, the blue mark fading from his chest as he looked around. Though he was somewhat weak, he sensed that he was healed, that the blood that the evil vampire had taken had regenerated. He'd been sleeping long enough...

"Where am I?" His dark eyes focused on Riddick enquiringly, hoping that the man had been awake at least awhile longer and would have some idea what was going on. "What happened, what day is it? How long have I been asleep? Where's... the creature?"

When RIddick felt Vaako wake up, he placed his hands on his shoulders and forced him back down so he wouldn't move too much. He looked at him intently, with out his goggles, the lights down.

He reached out to soothe the long, dark hair of Vaako and for just a moment, Riddick was seeing blond, long strands, braids.... He pulled back like he had been bitten and took a deep breath. He focused on Cylus again, settling his nerves.

"It's been a few days. The creature is gone for now but he will be back I bet it." Riddick sighed softly, looking at the faint glow on his chest then th eone on his own. "Did you have a clue...?"

Something was going on with Riddick. It was clear, and it wouldn't take another Furyan who was bonded to him to figure it out. But he allowed himself to be held down with a strained sort of patience as he narrowed his eyes, struggling to see in the darkened room.

The former Necromonger sighed softly, relaxing a little into those strong hands that stroked his hair. But then, the Furyan pulled back, and Vaako's dark eyes tried to find the reason why.

"Is everything...?" He shook his head and sighed softly, distracted from what he was going to ask by the question Riddick had posed to him. "I didn't know. I had no memory really of my home." He didn't need to ask what Riddick was talking about. "What will we do when Lestat comes back?"

His mind was flashing to another place, another time. Yet at the same time his mind and heart was right here with the one he was apparently bonded too. Cylus could hear him before, read into his mind. Would he be able to do that now? Would this man be able to read Riddick's thoughts of the one with fair skin and blond hair?

He pushed it all away and concentrated harder on the man below him. His hands still holding down a muscular chest though thy wer egentler on him, easier and they were moving softly, moving so he could rest one over the blue glow he knew was there.

"I was to be the last.. my equal. my bonded? Isn't that what the book said? What a shit fate for you." Riddick spoke morbidly and then he turned focused, growling. Despite wandering thoughts Lestat had still hurt this man and the woman, but especially this man and he would not let that go. " We will be ready when he comes back."

If Riddick had stated his thoughts out loud, Vaako would have told him that no, he couldn't read his thoughts. Which was odd, since he'd been able to so clearly before. It bothered him, but maybe the bond didn't work that way? He shrugged it off. This was still all very new to him. He couldn't say how it worked, not really.

"Well, it isn't so great for you, either." He pointed out as he let his fingers circle around Riddick's arms which rested on his chest. "I'm a Necromonger commander with no army. No. Not even a Necromonger... a former Necromonger." His fingers gently explored the other man's strong arms up to his elbows, and then back down to his wrist.

"Well, yes. When Lestat comes, I know I'll be ready. We should prepare, though. Such a creature is not to be taken lightly, and I don't think we can count on the Rage all the time."

Confusing is what this all was. One moment he felt so close to this man, this ex Necormonger Commander and now Furyan and apparently his bonded. He was having a hard time concentrating. Hard time focusing everything was swimming in his head right now. But he tried, he pushed away his thoughts. Pushed them all back.

Narrowing his silvery eyes, the bald Furyan focused on Cylus and his words. He moved his hands, without thinking just letting his body do what it wanted he reached down and awkwardly took both of Cylus' hands in his and he was shocked to see his own shaking."I never saw you as a Necromonger.." The bald Furyan admitted. "I always saw you as something more than what you were."

That in its self was hard for him to admit.Making it even harder was a laughter filled with mirth and a certain amount of childishness that was ringing in his ears. Sighing he gently gripped the thin wrists in his hands and nodded. "We will prepare for him again once you are healed enough. For now you need to rest. There is a shitload of things to figure out Cylus."

Riddick loked at his First intently, trying to figure this all out.It was so strong and too weird. It scared him shitless.

His first thought when he felt how Riddick's hands were shaking was that he must be cold. It was hard to imagine this strong, emotionally reserved man shaking for anything but physical reasons. Carefully, he linked his fingers into the other man's grip and smiled up at him. Smiling was something he was doing a lot more these days, confusion or not.

"Well, I never saw you as just a Furyan or I suppose I would have killed you on Crematoria." He gazed up into the silvery eyes above him and frowned slightly. It was odd. Before, he'd been able to see past the shine into the actual eyes beneath. Now, he was glancing off the surface, just like he used to do. Disturbing.

The former Necromonger nodded absently, still trying to figure out why Riddick seemed different. Or was Vaako himself different, was that how it worked? He sighed a little and his eyes seemed to want to close, though he forced them to stay open. "There's always things to figure out. We'll make it."

He really was still quite tired. The blood that the vampire creature had drained was slowly regenerating, but it would be awhile. Especially since he was also dealing with finding out he was apparently a Furyan on top of everything. He was exhausted, he realized as his eyes seemed to keep dropping closed.

Riddick knew there were questions, and he was not sure the answers were there. He watched Vaako and he wanted to talk, wanted to just be around this man and hope it would all clear up. But in the end a fear unlike anything he had ever felt and the fact that Vaako was tired won out.

"Sleep. We can talk later. You need your rest and I am not going anywhere." Riddick moved letting Vaako go but he didn't move far. Not even close. He sat on the edge of the bed waiting for Cylus to fall into sleep, knowing he needed it.
