"So how was your fishing trip?" Rose asked, clearly amused as she glanced over to the Doctor. She was standing in front of the closet, trying to decide if she should change or not. It was early enough that there was still plenty of time to do something else for the evening-- dinner sounded good, of course. And then after that? Well, she thought that she and the Doctor should find something to do.

She turned around hooking her thumbs in her belt loops as she made her way over to flop down on the bed, feet in the air. "Wanna go find something to do tonight? I don't think I want to stay cooped up in our room all evening. There's so much to do around here!"

	"You can, but seem to prefer not to!" he teased, clinking his glass against hers before taking a sip with her; it was like a taste-explosion. "Yeah. Everything round here is perfect. If we.. I mean when we leave, we should take a lot of food with us!" he suggested. He'd have been half-tempted to take a golem for a butler, but that might verge on slavery. 	"Yeah. Me too," he said, giving her a ittle nod as he popped one into his mouth as if proving his point. "I don't know, it seems like more than a recipe sometimes. 	"It doesn't?" she asked, looking down at their food for a moment. "I hadn't noticed it, no." Probably because she was usually scarfing it down too fast to notice that sort of thing. "I've not. I'll make sure and try it before we go," he nodded, this time speaking of leaving in a much more relaxed manner. He wasn't going to start worrying again, and for once in his life he really did just want to spend the evening relaxing, but it wasn't something that came very naturally to him. He shuffled a little in his seat and then took another sip of his drink that would hopefully aid the relaxation.

He opened his mouth as if he were going to speak, but he realised he had no idea what he wanted to say. "Hmm. Well, I'm glad you're here with me," he said, not quite sure where it had come from.

	Rose couldn't help but blush faintly, busying herself for a moment with a crisp and some of the spinach dip. "I'm glad I am, too," she replied, looking back across to him. "I love our adventures. And this- well, it's one we'll remember, yeah?" (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

As soon as the words had escaped his lips the Doctor had stared straight into his glass while drinking, suddenly feeling a little awkward although he didn't let it show. "Yeah, I should think so!" he teased, cool and calm as ever. "Travel halfway across the universe and what do we do? Fishing and line-dancing. Don't go telling your mother about this one, I'll never live it down!" he grinned.

	"At least it's a bit of a break from being chased down and saving the universe again? There doesn't seem to be anybody after us, or- well, that does make it sound a bit boring, doesn't it?" "Just a bit!" he admitted. "Funny how we get our thrills, eh?" he giggled, trying a bit of the chicken.

"Mmm, now this sort of traveling she might appreciate!" he agreed, starting to relax a bit more. "I never get to do this kind of thing, anyway. I guess we can treat it like another sort of adventure!" he grinned encouragingly. Knowing them, they'd find something exciting to do while they were here.

Rose couldn't help but laugh as he giggled, and she popped a couple of chips into her mouth. Reaching for her drink, she took a sip once she had swallowed her food.

"Yeah, she would. And yes, we should! There's all sorts of stuff to do here. But tonight, we'll start with the dancing. After we eat. And yes. You're going to dance with me- I know you know how to."

	The Doctor raised an eyebrow as she mentioned the dancing. "Dancing? Rose... I'm trying to resonate concrete," he said nostalgically, his expression changing as he gave her a toothy grin. 	"What? Oh- no," she said, shaking her head with a laugh. "I am not line dancing again. A whole afternoon of it is enough for me." She popped another chip into her mouth, quiet for a few moments as she ate. "You'd have to get me at least one more drink to consider line dancing again. I like swing dancing a lot better." "Swing? Excuse me, have you seen how scrawny I have become? Swing?" he snorted with amusement.

"Wait!" he told her, slipping out of the booth and heading to the bar. He returned a moment later with a couple of tequila shots. He slid one across the table to her with a devilish grin. "Maybe that will do the trick," he laughed. "Mind you, I'm not sure why I want to see it that much."

"Oh, I bet you still could do it," she replied. "Skinny, yeah, but that doesn't mean you can't still move."

She had another chicken strip as he went over to the bar and she burst into laughter as he slid the shot glass across to her. "I'm not really sure either." And hey, at least he didn't want to do body shots? Oh, she shouldn't be thinking about those. Not right now. She picked up the salt shaker, and then her lime wedge, holding them with one hand before she reached for her tequila shot. "You're doing it too, yeah?"

The Doctor followed suit, dropping his glass to the table as he sucked on the lime, pulling his best shot face. "Ugh. That is... completely disgusting! I love it!" he laughed with the sort of illogical reasoning of which he was capable. He instantly felt a sort of warmth spreading through his body, mre distinct because it wasn't a feeling he had experienced in quite a while.

	Rose burst into giggles at the face he made, pulling the lime from her mouth and dropping it into the shot glass. Oh that was awful, but completely brilliant. The alcohol went straight to her head, but that only made it better. She grinned, reaching for what was left of her chocolate banana martini and finished it off. "I'm going to get another one." 	The Doctor swirled the last of his martini around in his mouth just to wash the distinct taste away. "Another what?" he asked suspiciously. If she was talking about the tequila he was sure it wouldn't be long until they were both a bit wrecked. (Reply to this) (Parent)
