"So how was your fishing trip?" Rose asked, clearly amused as she glanced over to the Doctor. She was standing in front of the closet, trying to decide if she should change or not. It was early enough that there was still plenty of time to do something else for the evening-- dinner sounded good, of course. And then after that? Well, she thought that she and the Doctor should find something to do.

She turned around hooking her thumbs in her belt loops as she made her way over to flop down on the bed, feet in the air. "Wanna go find something to do tonight? I don't think I want to stay cooped up in our room all evening. There's so much to do around here!"

At her confirmation, the Doctor smiled broadly. He reached out, holding onto her shoulders to try and steady her as she hopped from her stool. And then she did it again, and he certainly wasn't complaining. He moved his lips gently against hers, pulling her close to him as if he was afraid she'd just fade away any second.

The other kisses hadn't counted; one to remove the time vortex from her, the other while Cassandra had taken over her body. But this one? This was a proper kiss.

	Rose made a faint noise of surprise as he pulled her closer, but she wrapped her arms around him and easily-- happily-- continued the kiss. Oh, she liked this. She could just barely taste the alcohol on his lips, but then there was something else that was so completely him. She wasn't sure that she ever wanted it to end. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

As surprising as the situation was, there was something about it that felt so natural. Perhaps they'd both been wanting it for so long that it just felt like it had been what was missing from their otherwise perfect relationship.

It was quite a while before the Doctor pulled back, and even when he did he stayed close, not quite sure what he could say that the kiss hadn't already said for. Eventually, he settled on 'wow'.

	Rose couldn't keep the smile from her face as he pulled back. That was lovely. Yes. She didn't know what to say, really, so she just stared at him for a few more moments before she remembered. "Oh! We've got one more shot!" (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

The Doctor kept smiling at her as she mentioned the shot. "Yeah, we do," he said, not really making a move at first choosing just to smile at her instead. Eventually, he leaned forward a little and licked her neck; it felt a bit different now that he was holding her so close, but not in a bad way. He stretched out to take the salt from the bar, sprinkling a little onto her neck before passing it to her.

	Rose closed her eyes and gave a soft sigh as the Doctor licked her neck. She shivered just slightly as he sprinkled the salt and she took the shaker from him, pulling his collar aside and leaning down to press a few kisses along the curve of his neck before she licked and pulled back to sprinkle the salt on his neck. The Doctor gave an involuntary gasp as Rose kissed his neck; it had been a long time since anyone had shown him that amount of affection so it was hardly surprising that he'd almost flinched. It was nice feeling so close to someone, especially after he'd just about convinced himself he'd never let anyone close again after the war.

Still, it was no time to dwell on his past angst: it was time to do body shots, instead! With that in mind, the Doctor reached over to pick up their glasses, handing one over to her with a smile before taking hold of the lime. "Ready?"

	Rose smiled as he gasped, and she took the lime and shot glass. She clinked theirs together, leaning forward to lick the salt from his neck, giving him a chance to lick hers before she took the shot and leaned over to bite into the lime. That done, she pulled the lime from her mouth and dropped it into the shot glass. She grinned, and then leaned over to kiss him again. (Reply to this) (Parent)
