"So how was your fishing trip?" Rose asked, clearly amused as she glanced over to the Doctor. She was standing in front of the closet, trying to decide if she should change or not. It was early enough that there was still plenty of time to do something else for the evening-- dinner sounded good, of course. And then after that? Well, she thought that she and the Doctor should find something to do.

She turned around hooking her thumbs in her belt loops as she made her way over to flop down on the bed, feet in the air. "Wanna go find something to do tonight? I don't think I want to stay cooped up in our room all evening. There's so much to do around here!"

	"Right!" he agreed, clinking his glass against hers and counting with her. He leaned forward, licking the salt from her neck and downing the shot. If he'd thought it would taste better the second time he was wrong. He held his lime wedge up for her and leaned forward to bite on the one in her hand. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Rose licked, drank, and leaned over to take the lime he was holding, giggling as she pulled back. It had tickled a bit, and oh, that warmth from the alcohol was really nice. She pulled the lime from her mouth and dropped it into the shot glass. "Oh, I liked that." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Well, that had certainly been different. The Doctor dropped his lime wedge, not exactly moving back any further. "Which part?" he teased softly, before shooting her a cheeky wink and sliding back a little from her almost as an afterthought. He lifted his martini glass, taking a sip and letting the sweetness cover the sharp taste of the tequila. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"Great!" She exclaimed, taking another sip before setting her glass back down on the table and lacing her fingers with his as he took her hand. She slid out of the booth, stepping out so that the Doctor could stand as well, but took a moment to regain her balance. "It's been a while since I've danced, you know." 	"Yeah? We tend to be runners rather than dancers!" he agreed, slipping out of the booth behind her. After a little pause to make sure he was steady, he led her across the bar to the deserted dancefloor. Just as he turned to face her he was surprised to hear Glenn Miller's In the Mood start up, as if the planet just knew. "Oh. Our song!" he laughed softly. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"Very true," she said, glad that they weren't having to run from anything just now. She laughed as she heard the music start up-- happy laughter-- and stepped forward, one hand finding his as the other moved to his shoulder. "It is our song, isn't it? 	"Yep. The day that everybody lived!" he reminded her, lacing his fingers with hers as his other hand slipped round her waist. "I was a whole different man back then!" he realised. The beat of the music didn't really permit them to sway for very long, and so with a cheeky smile the Doctor started to pick up the pace, sort of mimicking their dance in the TARDIS. He spun her a couple of times, and smiled affectionately as he replaced his hand on her waist. "So, how long were you planning on staying with me?" he asked, leaning a little to whisper it into her ear.

	Rose moved with him, almost surprised that she was doing this well, considering the two shots they'd already had. She nearly tripped, spinning back into him, but then his arm was around her and he leaned forward. Her breath caught for a moment as he whispered and she looked back up to him. The Doctor understood more than anyone that for Rose 'forever' wasn't actually that long at all. Eventually she would grow old; she would die a long, long time before him, but for once in his life he wasn't going to worry about that yet. He wasn't going to make the mistake of letting her leave out of fear of the inevitable heartbreak. For now, forever sounded like an awfully long time. "Good," he said simply, smiling broadly at her before leaning in to place a kiss against her cheek. "Brilliant!" he added, spinning both of them round in a circle. "Woah!" he laughed, even the small amount of alcohol making him a little dizzy with such twirling about.
