Day 15
Who: Joker and the Weasley Twins
When: Day 15 afternoon
What: Seeing an Odd Face
Where: The Theatre
Rating: G
Status: Complete

The lads simply couldn't bother to dismount their brooms after flying outside, swooping high and low over the changed grounds and vast structure of the main building. Theirs wasn't a calm flight as they attempted a few times in succession to go as high as possible, their furiously speeding Firebolts being slowed down by a mysterious force and then pushed back firmly.

"Bloody hell," Fred cursed after the fifth attempt.

"We couldn't breathe in space anyway," George said pragmatically as they flew side by side. He looked up at the sky.

Fred followed his gaze with identical eyes before he gazed in the direction of the mountains. "How far could we go in that direction?" he wondered. "We should find out."

"Ok, but let's go get some food to take with us," George suggested. "Might as well get whatever we can out of our prison."

"Right, at least it 's not Azkaban."

Thus the pair of them opened the main resort door with "Alohomora" and flew right inside, whizzing through the lobby without looking back. Being who they were, they couldn't merely go directly to the kitchen. They flew around the halls, in and out of some rooms.

Nothing made them pause for long, not until they came across someone who seemed to be hanging a banner over the entrance to the theatre. They were suspended on their brooms as they observed the strange appearance of the stranger. Even by wizard standards the man looked odd. Not his clothing for they were used to seeing unique 'fashion' sense, but his face. This man looked like someone blind had put makeup on him, particularly the way red lipstick made an erratic stain on the white makeup.

Fred and George exchanged glances, clearly both of them wondering what sort of clown this might be?

"Sorry," George said when the man looked at them.

"We won't interrupt," Fred added.

"Oi!" Fred said after he was pushed aside. Standing behind the weird clown, he got his wand in his free hand and mock cast a spell.

Seeing this, George half-watched his twin and talked to the odd person: "That's us, the Trick Twins. Both of us can fly and what's this play about?"

Fred and George peered at the various markings on the banner, feeling more bemused than enlightened by the moment. Fred mounted his Firebolt again while holding one end of the banner.

George smiled at the Joker's little trick. He clapped his hands too and tiny fireworks popped into the air around the man. Then he took up the other end of the banner. Without talking, the lads elevated slowly until they reached what they thought might be a good place for the advertisement.

"How's this?" they wondered in unison.

The fireworks trick was enough to get those mechanical chains in his head working. In all honesty, he was actually rather disturbed that someone in this world existed that could brush up such an act like him. Entertaining the masses was his ordeal- not their's.

"A bit to the right, that's it. No, my right!" He exclaimed as he stood back in order to see the banner in full view. He liked things done in perfection and- despite how much things weren't running so smoothly, he appreciated the help. With their curiosity hitting them, Joker took it to explaining.

"The play will be A Spanish Tragedy and I am in need of serious help. Especially in the management business."

The lads positioned the banner the way the Joker directed. They hovered up there, wondering: "Ok?"

"We manage our own business," Fred said. "And it's about entertaining people. What else would we do?" he wondered rhetorically. Of course this strange stranger couldn't answer since he didn't know them.

"How might someone help you manage? Like a stage manager?" George wondered as they waited to fly down.

"A stage manner is one way.:" Joker began coily pretending to think as he paced a bit about solely to catch a better look at the broomstick they were flying. "I need helper's with auditions, helpers with literally managing every part of the theater.

"It isn't much," he quickly added taking a long stride towards them adding a shrug, "don't be afraid, it's just. I need able men, you get my drift?"

The two seemed like a good lot, they would be a good asset to him considering some people wouldn't exactly be happy to see a guy dressed as a clown being in charge of the whole thing. Variation was the key, variation.

The twins exchanged glances as they wondered why the Joker had said "don't be afraid". Did he mean his odd makeup, which seemed a bit strange even by wizarding world standards? They continued hovering but slowly descended.

"I reckon we're able," Fred conversed, "and a play's got to be something interesting to do, mate. We could probably help you."

George noted how the fellow was looking at their brooms. So did his brother and neither of them commented on it. Not just then anyway.

"Well excellent. That's something to be looking forward to. Right this way!" He exclaimed before anythign else could happen. With a sarcastic kick, the ladder came crashing down away from the doors and he threw them open as he walked in, his hands stretched out as if God himself had granted him glory. "Welcome, to my theater!"

The instant he shouted this out, his hands went flying up and the lights went on. It had turned into an Opera house with elaborate seats and enormous beautiful drapes. At the very center of the auditorium, an elaborate chandelier that seemed to be the source of the light shined radiantly, like if it were the sun itself. Joker walked on down the red velvet carpet like some king in his royal court and turned.

"This will be our base of operations." He said quietly with another one of his malevolent grins and laugh.

The lads watched the Joker as if the man was a show in and of himself, so to speak. Of course magic and spectacle they had become accustomed to, but this odd and somehow not-quite muggle, not-quite wizard displayed a dramatic need for attention not even Percy could achieve with his talk about inferior cauldron bottoms....

They watched the ladder clatter away, flew after him slowly as the Joker brought the grand space to light seemingly with his huge gesture. The two of them flew up to circle around the chandelier like moths.

After a few seconds, Fred and George descended until their feet almost brushed the posh red carpet where they hovered. "Brill!" George said. "Shall we make flyers to announce auditions?"
