Day Eleven
Who: Faith and Snape
What: Faith is one annoyed Slayer at being stood up, and also from having all sorts of fun dreams about Chaos arriving. Yay prophetic dreams, and Dahak's arrival!
When: Day 11 late morning
Where: Library
Rating: PG-13 for language. Again, this is Faith.
Status: Complete

Not that it hadn't been fun training with Gabrielle, or wanting to beat the hell out of sexist farmboys with obvious secrets, but she had wanted to train with the person she was supposed to be training with, her Watcher. Unfortunately, he'd seen the need to stand her up, and to say she was annoyed was an understatement. Add to that the really irritating prophetic dreams she'd been having, and it was just all around bad. Something was coming, or maybe had already arrived, and though nothing scared her... this came really close.

The best thing, she decided, was to find him and maybe have it out with him. And maybe tell him about the dream she'd had. She was feeling a bit more aggressive even than usual, and that was saying something. The irritation of the farm boy's words, along with the sparring she'd done with Gabrielle, had worked her up into quite a state, and she was feeling reckless. So, after a quick breakfast when most people would be thinking about lunch, the Slayer set off to find her Watcher.

Unfortunately, she had no idea where his room was, having only ever met him in the library. Still, that was as good a place to start as any, so the dark-haired girl, who was a little disturbed by the fact that she was apparently spending more time in the library than she had in her entire life up until now, headed back there. Once there, she looked around. Some hot guy in big armor was sitting around reading, but other than that, the place appeared to be empty. She smirked at the sight of the warrior reading a book, and turned to leave. She wasn't sure where she was supposed to find her AWOL Watcher but she'd think of something.

She frowned thoughtfully at his request, but wasn't surprised by it. Giles had often made requests like that, and her and Buffy had always done their best to accomadate him. It would be the same with her and Snape, so she simply nodded.

"I'll see what I can do."

Having given her report, she then lapsed into chattering about her time at the party, and how it had actually been okay. Of course, she didn't much like to show actual enthusiasm for anything, but she didn't mind showing vague approval. Finally, they arrived at the door outside.

Snape was impressed at her quick and easy acceptance of his clearly magical request. He still wasn't completely clear on what a Watcher was or did, but it seemed that he was certainly fitting her expectations. Were there really that many people on her world that were so like him? The possibility boggled the mind.

Said mind started to drift as the young woman began to talk about the party. He didn't really care about her social life. But wait, maybe there was an opportunity here. Social engagements such as this party held less than no interest for him, but there may still be important reconaissance to be done there. He listened more closely to his Slayer's tale of the event.

When they reached the exit, she fell silent, and he opened the door onto the blustering landscape.

"Well, I'm glad you found it tolerable. Are you ready?"

"Yeah, for sure."

She didn't even hesitate when she saw the weather outside. She'd already seen the worst the storm had to offer, staying out in it for hours on end. She had no fear of it. Or, really, when it came down to it, of practically anything.

"Let's go!"

Without even a backward glance, the young woman who was in no way clad for walking even for two seconds in the storm, plunged out into it.
