The Hatter disliked large parties. As far as he was concerned such things should be limited to a few, and those should be invited properly not by papers strewn about walls willy-nilly. Still, he did look in on the gathering, peering in with distaste at the sheer numbers of people, and not a single teapot to be seen. Then he promptly turned on his heel and stalked in the other direction, throwing open the first door he reached with unnecessary gusto, sending it smashing into the wall hard enough to make a sizable BANG and stick in place. The Wonderland native peered inside this room suspiciously as well, taking a few slow steps forward at the sight.

The floor sloped downwards, lined with seats along either side of the aisle, with a large stage at the end of it complete with drawn red velvet curtains. Oh, he had no idea what he could do with such a stage, but he liked it all the same. Moving towards it, the door left open behind him, he imagined a number of fantastical things that could be behind the heavy curtains. Reaching them he strode across the stage to push aside the hanging velvet, finding quite a bit of what he imagined behind it.

Soon he had a old time phonograph pulled out, playing a record of what sounded like decidedly creepy carnival tunes. He nudged an ornately crafted dark wooden chair, and matching red upholstery. Hatter stood in front of both for a moment, looking out of place as usual. His clothes strayed close to times of old. The long ORANGE coat was lined with forest green, dark gray pants with a thin line of green and a second of orange racing down the sides, black shoes the tamest thing on him, starkly different from the violent purple dress shirt beneath his coat, and the old green hat was much like his first complete with ticket reading 10/6 sticking out.

"I'll tell thee EVERYTHING I can: There's little to relate.
I saw an aged aged man, A-sitting on a gate.
"Who are you, aged man?" I said, "And HOW is it you live?"
And his answer trickled through my head, Like water through a sieve.
He said "I look for butterflies, That sleep among the wheat:
I make them into mutton-pies, And sell them in the street."

Hatter sang, spinning his cane around, and rather missing the insane children that used to dance around his old stage. Their madness, laughing and screaming, and sometimes doing both, and almost never knowing why. Perhaps he'd find some to take their place later. He would have to put on a show. Perhaps that Joker fellow would help. His gaze flitted across the seats, wondering briefly if it would be hard to fasten one's guest's arms to the chairs, as he found it extremely rude to get up during a show and would not allow for the possibility.

"I do belive that sounds more painful then it actually would be dear"She said, raising an eyebrow. She rather liked her head where it was thank you very much, even if it was overly large and she couldnt stand on it.

Cat shrugged, flopping on one of the uncomfortable chairs that were overly abudent in this place. They had chairs in wonderland of course, just not so many, seeing as many of the inhabitants rarely stayed in one place for to long."Im sure it will be dreadful"She complimented.

Her eyes lit up at the metion of alice "I do belive it was.Horrible girl.Though I dont like the new look she's giving her self."She tsked disapprovingly. She frowned, wondering who else the blonde had shipped here, but didnt get into a tizzy over it.She was sure alice would get bored and change it back to normal eventually.

At the metion of her hair she beamed, puffing up proudly "I do like them yes"She gazed at her arm "Though I havnt the foggiest idea what half of them mean"

"No pain, no gain." He shrugged, mildly disappointed that she wasn't willing to have her head lopped off. Later then. He'd find other ways to keep himself amused.

"She's here then?" Hatter wouldn't be surprised either way, she always showed up eventually. He looked forward to seeing how she was this time. No doubt much more inclined towards her old ways, as he also found himself in such a mood, more happy then not.

Her tattoos were interesting as well, and he spared them a second long glance. "I've no idea either, but I've nothing against them." He moved in place, this way and that a step or two, just to keep moving, and watched the cat. Mostly suspicious. He'd decided moment ago that he hadn't liked the cat most of the time, but had never been really violent -- mostly because the vanishing feline was near impossible to catch before -- but partially because he really couldn't be bothered.

"I'll have to find people to be in my play, or make some -- mechanical insane children would be nice."

Cat shrugged, examing her pink and purple colored fingernails with mild interest.

"sadly yes, plopped herself earlier, poor thing.Absolutely horrified of this whole thing"She gestured toward the door and outside."I do hope she changes it back soon."She added, glancing the hatters direction. While she had never really liked the mad man,he was amusing some of the time, and though she probaly didnt understand the concept,he was probaly the closet thing to a friend she had here.

She bounced to her feet, delighted with the concept of a new play, though she would probaly grow bored with it long before he even finished it."Im sure the others would love to have spots"She frowned, were their even any children here?she didnt think she had spotted any.Maybe they were hiding?"what is it going to be about, dear?"

"Oh good. Terrified sounds lovely, must find her myself later." He shrugged slightly at the mention of changing it back. He was quite sure this wasn't Wonderland at all, as Alice had never inspired such drastic change in the surroundings. Their appearance might've been her doing, but this place probably wasn't.

"Wonderland, naturally. So few know of it here." He stated, though on his own a play about wonderland would likely have nothing in the way of plot or main characters or anything a proper play should have. Alice was quite a storyteller, she could help, no doubt. He should like to have the Tonks woman in it as well, he liked her and her odd hair.

"mhmm.Im sure she'll quite enjoy a spot of tea, poor dear"She rubbed her hands absently on her jeans before rising, the concept of sitting for long periods of time made Cat jittery.

She squealed in glee "Oh yes,a story of wonderland would just be dreadful!"Though plays in and about wonderland rarely made sense,if they had any plot to them at all that was.

Still,Cat wondered if that nice 'british'gwen women(whatever 'british'was),would have liked to be in it,seeing as how she hated to much sun as much as cat had,or perhaps the overly tall male human she had met?.Cat made a mental note to ask both later. "Perhaps I could assist?.I ama great lover of art you know"She purred, though she hadnt the foggist idea what human'art'was compared to the art of wonderland.

"We'll see then." He didn't know exactly how to find her, but she had a habit of finding him herself. Hatter bounced on the balls of his heels, striding across the stage slowly.

"You could, indeed. A set would have to be built and I should have to build a cat to take your place as you are in no state to play yourself." He stated, casting a disapproving eye on her new form. She could hardly play a cat like that. He sat on the floor, legs swinging over the side of the stage, thinking of the other wonderland inhabitants. Many were animals, but he supposed some could be played by the people here if they had to.

"brilliant!"She said gleefully, though she thought she could play herself just fine, but didnt think to tell him that, not that it mattered.

She stood looking round the stage, titling her head this way and that, mentally placing sets and whatnot where she thought they should go."It will be quite lovely once its done,im sure."

"Not too lovely. Wonderland can look quite wretched. The ghastly giant mushrooms, hideous old caterpillar, and the filthy duchess." He commented.

Hatter let himself slide off the stage, landing with a little bounce, and pulling out one of his many pocket watches. He plucked bits of string and lint off the watch chain, and examined the face. "I think it's time I go eat." He stated, stuffing the watch back in his pocket, and striding up the aisle. Whether Cat followed him or not made little difference to him, as he had tired of her company and thoughts of Wonderland for now.

"I sell them unto men, he said,
Who sail on stormy seas;
And that's the way I get my bread--
A trifle, if you please."
