She stared down at the waves below, excitement starting to build as she contemplated what he would sound like, what he would say. This was the ultimate risk in her mind and the thought of being that close to him absolutely thrilled her. Glancing down one last time she backed up a few paces, a smile spreading across her face as a low growl sounded in the back of her mind.

Before she could give it another thought she closed her eyes and leapt off the edge, the rushing wind and the sound of his voice filling her head. She waited for the water to meet her, to swallow her whole but it never came.

She hit the ground with a thud, a low groan sounding from her as pain radiated through out her left shoulder.

"Water isn't supposed to be that hard," she muttered as she rolled onto her back and opened her eyes, blinking at the bright sunlight that greeted her. She lay there for a moment blinking rapidly but the blue sky never changed and the sun didn't dim. Great she thought as she sat up slowly and looked around at her surroundings. It seemed that even death was mocking her. For that was the only thing this could all be. She had jumped and died. Charlie was going to be so upset when he found out what she had done and what happened. But if this was death, then it truly was hell, even with the sunshine, for he was still missing from her life.

"I can't do anything normally can I?" She grumbled, wincing as pain flared in her shoulder.

Cassie's eyes grew wide as the girl backed away from her; she'd been known to be a little scary, but never that scary.

"Oh, wow, yeah. I'm Cassie, who are you?" she asked, sounding a little dazed and confused, which she was.

Cassie shrugged as the other girl asked her what was going on. "I don't know, I just had a sad dream and woke up in a beautiful garden," she explained, as if that were the sort of thing that happened every day. "Forks, wow, yeah. There's a place called Forks? That's funny," she said, giggling softly before turning in a circle to take in the sights of the garden.

She continued to watch the other girl carefully as she climbed slowly to her feet, wincing at the pain that was now throbbing in her shoulder. Reaching up she gingerly poked at it, stopping immediately as pain bloomed anew. Well at least she would have a bruise to signify what she had done.

"Bella," she murmured as she glanced around the gardens, wondering once again if this was some form of hell. It had to be. She had jumped off the stupid cliff and was now stuck in some strange place with some girl she didn't know....and he still wasn't around.

"Dream, right. This isn't a dream. This is hell. At least in my dreams he's there." she muttered darkly as she headed over to a bench and sat down, wondering if they were the only two people in this place. She hoped not. It would be a very long after life if they were.

"Oh, wow, you're hurt?" she asked, although really it should have been obvious considering she'd just seen her fall out of the sky.

"Bella, right. Nice name," she said softly, glancing up at the sky. She was meant to be moving house, and she had no idea where she was. Her parents would be going spare when they realised she wasn't in her bed, but for once she wasn't out doing anything she shouldn't be. Not that they were going to believe this story for a second, but then they tended not to listen half the time anyway. She supposed she'd just say she'd been saying goodbye to her friends.

"Hell?" she repeated, scrunching up her nose in confusion. "Isn't hell supposed to be horrible and hot and smelly?" she asked, moving to hop onto the bench, sitting on the back with her feet on the seat. "It doesn't look like hell to me, I think it looks really lovely!" she gushed. "Who's there? Your boyfriend or something?" she asked, a little confused by the girls attitude. Perhaps she was on something.

"I've had worse." And it was true. The pain in her shoulder was nothing compared to what James had done to her the year before. She immediately shoved that thought to the side as it brought other things and other people she didn't want to think about. That she had been so good about not thinking about.

"Thanks." Bella sighed as she took in her surroundings once more. Charlie was going to worried when he discovered she was gone. As would Jake. They would be damn near panicking as they tore Forks apart looking for her. She winced at the thought of putting her father through that again. He had had a hard enough time when she got lost the first time. Now she was not only lost but in a place that she knew to be no where near Forks. For one, the sun was out.

"Depends on your definition of hell." I've been living it for months she thought darkly as she cradled her arm to her chest, hoping that the lack of movement would keep her shoulder from hurting. Her steps faltered at the mention of a boyfriend, Edwards face immediately flashing in her mind. She bit down on the sob that threatened to come up at the image and continued to wander around the space.

"If that were the case I would be the happiest person on earth and this would be heaven not hell. But seeing as how I'm still alone its still the same hell it has been for the past few months." She wasn't even aware that she had spoken that thought out loud she was so lost in thought. Once she opened the box she had a hard time putting the lid back on it. Why do these things always happen to me?

"Oh, well, just think of lovely things and pretend it doesn't hurt," she suggested; it was usually her method, but then again it had failed her many times when it came to emotional pain. Physical pain she could deal with.

Cassie frowned slightly, looking about the garden again for a clue as to why Bella seemed to think she was in hell. "Oh, I think it's just a garden, really," she suggested, not quite sure what the girl was getting at - my god, she'd thought some of her friends were intense, this was a bit much.

It all fell into place with the girls explanation of the man - she hadn't been talking about the garden at all, the hell must have been in her own head. "Oh. You love him, but you're not sure if he loves you," she suggested. It sounded a bit too familiar. "I know what that can be like," she admitted, suddenly feeling a little more sad herself. Sid had finally admitted his feelings and now she was going to have to move across the country. Well, if she ever found her way out of this place.

"Easier said than done." She was beginning to get irritated. All she wanted to do was find a way out of this place and go home. And then find a huge bottle of aspirin and take some.

"I'm really not concerned any more with what it is. I just want to find a way out of it and go home. And then possibly hit who ever it was that brought me here in the first place." I missed his voice, she shuddered at that thought. And she had. Who ever had taken her, not that she was truly convinced in the first place that this wasn't some mass hallucination or delusion in the first place, had taken her before she could truly hear his voice and it irritated her. She had jumped for a reason. And this was not it.

Bella froze at her words. It wasn't that she wondered, she knew. He had told her he didn't want her, and it hurt more than she had ever thought possible. She pushed the thoughts aside as the hole in her chest threatened to open up and start bleeding again.

"It's none of your business really and I don't want to talk about it. I just want to find a way out of here and go home."

Cassie sighed softly, letting her body slump over so she was resting her elbows on her knees. "Yeah, I suppose we can't be too far from home," she suggested. It would make sense, considering she'd apparently been sleepwalking, and the other girl had fallen out of something. But as soon as the words escaped her mouth, she frowned in confusion. "Where is Forks, anyway? You sound American, and I fell asleep in Bristol. In England," she commented, a little anxious about just how far she had traveled.

She shot the girl a look when she reacted so violently to her suggestions about the boy, and she had to suppress the urge to laugh. It always seemed completely ridiculous when she watched another person on an emotional rollercoaster over a boy, even if she understood perfectly how easy it was to get wrapped up in it all. Hell, she'd tried to kill herself over Sid not all that long ago!

"Fine, fine!" she agreed, laughing softly and waving her hands as if dismissing the topic completely. "Just don't understand why you want to go back so badly, when clearly you feel like shit back there anyway," she said coldly, pressing her lips together tightly. She didn't mean to upset the girl, but she had very little patience these days.

Her mood lightened very quickly, however, and she stood up on the bench excitedly, pointing to the approaching figure of a golem. "Oh, wow! Here's someone else! Maybe they know where we are!" she gushed enthusiastically, as if it were a knight in shining armour rushing to their rescue.

Bella turned to face the girl slowly, her eyes a bit wide as she stared at her.

"Ok, I'm dreaming. Thats all this is is some very elaborate dream on my part. And any moment now I'm going to wake up. Because there is no way if you went to sleep in England and I jumped off of a cliff in America that we could end up in the same place at the same time.

"Yep, a dream. Thats all this is. And soon Jake will come back and wake me up and we'll find something to do other than wander around in gardens with strange people from another country."

Bella ignored her comment completely about wanting to go back to Forks. Even if she had needed to in case of a life or death situation Bella couldn't leave Forks. Not after everything. It would never be possible. It would only destroy her more to do so.

Turning at the girls words she just snorted in amusement as she watched the rock creature come closer.

"Oh yeah, now I definitely know I'm dreaming. Rock people. Fan-freaking-tastic."

"You're dreaming?" Cassie asked, laughing a little at the assumption. Bella was the one that had come falling out of the sky... and Cassie was the one who had simply fallen asleep. If it was anyone's dream, it was Cassie's. And yet, she had the strange feeling that this wasn't a dream at all... everything felt far too real, right down to the light breeze against her skin.

She toyed with the stuffed monkey round her neck, a little anxious as she let Bella ramble on about her so-called dream. She didn't even have the energy to suggest that she was not the strange one, for once... but her comment definitely sparked her attention. "Rock people?" she asked, turning back to the person that was coming to greet them. Her eyes grew wide with surprise, but a smile started to spread across her face as the creature came closer. "Oh, wow! That's... wow! That's so amazing!" she gushed, turning excitedly between the girl and the rock man.

"Oh, wow. You're made of rock! That's so cool. Where are we?" she asked at 100mph, hopping down from the bench to stand on the same level as the stone man, who said nothing, simply motioning for them to follow him.

Bella made sure to keep as much distance as she could humanly manage from the hyper girl. All of her activity and energy was only making Bella's hurt worse.

She watched the rock type people closely, wondering just what the hell would give her such crazy dreams and decided it had to be something Jacob had given her. Perhaps something the tribe used, and if that was the case she was going to murder him once she woke up for doing this to her.

Sighing she rolled her eyes and fell into step behind the strange rock people curious to see just how far this crazy dream was going to go.

Cassie followed the stone man with a slight skip in her step, glancing nervously back at Bella every now and again. All the silence was a little unnerving. They were brought to a halt in the middle of a courtyard as the stone man motioned toward an engraving on the wall. Cassie took a few steps forward, frowning as she started to read.

"This is your new home..." she read aloud, turning to Bella as the colour drained from her cheeks. "Oh, wow," she said softly, none of the previous enthusiasm in her tone anymore. She turned back to the tablet, worrying her lower lip as she finished reading. You will not be able to leave. Her heart sank - was she ever going to see Sid again? At least Elgin was on the same planet as him... although, as much as she hated to admit it to herself, in many ways the planet sounded like the perfect escape. An escape from reality, an escape from her parents, an escape from food and doctors and... everything. And yet... she'd almost been happy with Sid. Just almost.

She forced a smile onto her face as the golem reached out and placed a key into her hand. "Room D220. You?" she asked casually, as if she'd actually been planning to move to a different planet all along.
