Entry tags:blair waldorf, complete, day 33, sam winchester

Who: Blair Waldorf and Sam Winchester
What: A date...or so Blair says
When: Day 33, afternoon
Where: Main building
Status: Incomplete
Rating: PG-13? Not that high I don't think

Blair was quite stubborn, and when she liked something or someone, she went after it. So she knew, unless he was completely wrong for her, she would not give up on Sam. After all, she got what she wanted. So when Sam agreed to meet up with her, her smile could not be removed. She had to make sure she looked perfect, her dress and shoes perfect for a sort of date and fine for a walk. He was the one who suggested they go right now, and she took that to mean he was eager.

Heading to their meeting place, she thought as she waited. what made him think he wasn't dating material? After all, he was gorgeous and sweet. Perfect boyfriend material.

Sam had clearly dug his own grave. Here was a girl interested in him and here he had agreed to tell her about himself and his past. Not a good idea in his book. But being on Mirage was weird and there were other freaks besides him and Andy so maybe Blair wouldn't find it so hard to believe.

Sam didn't bother to dress up, just wearing his normal clothes, before he headed out to where Blair wanted to met. She had gotten there first so Sam lifted a hand in greeting as he approached. "Hey."

Blair smiled when he arrived, walking to meet him half way. She was curious to hear what he had to say, so she looked up at him, her smile not leaving her face.

"So, any specific place to walk to or just about?"

She had to play it cool here, try and work her way in.

Sam shrugged with a slight smile. "Doesn't matter to me. You pick, I'll follow." Inwardly, he mulled over about what he was going to say first.

Blair chose just any random direction and began to walk. After a moment of silence, she looked up at him, clearly trying to prompt him.

Oh great. Well, what to say. Sam sighed. "You know my brother and I travel a lot. We travel because we hunt down supernatural things that are bad... like vampires or evil spirits or werewolves and such." Sam kept his eyes on the ground in front of him. "My mom was killed by this demon when I was six months old and he.... well, he did something to me. Made me psychic somehow, I guess. I get visions of people dying." Trying to lighten the mood, he grinned a bit. "One of the perks about being here. Haven't gotten one since I've arrived which I am not complaining about at all because besides them being about people, you know, dying, they also make me have killer headaches too. Ever had a migraine? Think worse."

Blair listened as they walked, but didn't keep eye contact the whole time, keeping her eyes on the ground. Some how she felt it might be easier for him to tel her without her eyes trained compeltely on him. It sounded horrible, all these things that have happened to him. Of course, before she got dragged here she would have thought he'd needed a visit from a doctor, but now that she had seen so many strange things she was more open to hearing other people's stories about before they came here, and was willing to believe them.

She tried to think of the best thing to say. It sounded terrible, so terrifying and she didn't know how he appeared to still be sane. Going with her instinct, she wrapped her hand around his.

"I'm sorry, it must be awful for you."

Sam shrugged. "I'm more or less used to it by now," he admitted. "The craziness of it all." He glanced at Blair for a moment, wondering if she was going to be sympathetic or if she had just said that because she wasn't sure what else to say. He didn't want anyone making a big deal out of his life. Yeah, it wasn't the best life but it wasn't completely horrible and hopeless. Sam liked to think he made a difference in the world by helping out the people he had helped.

"You may be used to it but that doesn't make it any less hard, I'm sure."

She didn't remove her hand, after all he didn't seem uncomfortable by it. She looked up at him for a moment, waiting to see if he'd say anything else. When he didn't, she sighed.

"It's not all bad though, is it? I mean, sure you have to fight all these things but at the same time there's still good in life, right? You're proof of that."

Sam smiled a little bit at that, shaking his head. He didn't look down at their hands, that would be too obvious, but he did give it a little squeeze of thanks. "No it doesn't. And it's worth it, saving people's lives. Even if it's just one person, it's still worth it."

"So does that make it all better? Because I seriously doubt that."

She kept her eyes on him, watching for reactions. She couldn't imagine dealing with all that and everything being okay just because you were saving people.

"Of course it doesn't make it all better, not completely. That's just my life, I guess." Sam shrugged. "What I was brought up into. But like you said, it's not all bad. I've got my brother so I'm not alone. And sometimes something we think is bad turns out not to be. It's few and far between, but it happens."
