And most importantly: APPLY HERE

🌸

🌸 PROMPTS

ONE | LOCKED OUT
It seems as if someone hasn't been paying their rent to keep staying in their home. As a result, when you go home after a long day, you find that you're locked out. There's a notice on the door of how much you owe in rent. Oops. Maybe you got greedy about what's in your jar, or perhaps there's nothing in your jar at all. What are you going to do now?

TWO | INTO THE MINES
You've gone deeper into the mines than you ever have before - perhaps you were exploring or perhaps you were hoping to mine those little gem clovers. Regardless, now you're facing down some of the monsters that lurk deep beneath the mountain. Are you ready to fight? Or are you ready to run, instead?

THREE | REVERSE YOUR FORTUNE
It's been a rough few days, and your jar reflects it. The dark konpeito doesn't shine the way the colorful konpeito does. It seems to suck in the light, instead, and with it your own mood. You won't be able to keep going on like this... you know you have to do something to get more colorful konpeito back. But how are you going to do that and can you break out of the mood that seems to radiate off your jar?

FOUR | WILDCARD
What's going on with you today?

[blink blink...] [Oh. Hi there.]

[Looks up at the moon curiously, frowning thoughtfully up at it.]

It'd be strange if that could be true. Would that mean that a really bright moon is a thoughtless night?

Would most not sleep on a thoughtless night? And so, on such a night the moon might be dark, or he might hide and the sun instead show her face, for all you would know.

[He's joking, of course.]

[She... thinks he must be, although she's not entirely sure. ELVES...............]

I guess I'll have to take your word for it there.

[ELVES :>~*~*~*~

He laughs lightly, like the old, wise, mysterious and dignfied creature he is.]

What I meant to say - poorly, I see - is that nights like these are well suited for contemplation, are they not? It seemed to me you were in deep thought.

[And naturally he thought to intrude on that, because who doesn't want company when they're stargazing? That, or he suspects she might be locked out, and he wants to check on her.]

[Ah--] [She smiles a little, once she gets it. You're checking on her...?]

Oh. Yeah... I guess I was thinking. Nothing important, though.

Just... it looks like I've been neglecting paying for a place to stay. I'm not used to it.

Not used to paying for lodgings? In that, you are not alone.

[He smiles softly at her in turn. He's probably not as alarmed as most would be upon learning a child doesn't have an indoor place to sleep-- not because he in any way approves of throwing a child out on her own, but because...]

When I first set foot in this land, I confess I felt ill at ease staying between walls.

Really? I guess that isn't surprising. I don't know much about elves, but... [you seem pretty similar to the fae, and they certainly don't have traditional houses.]

Is it easier for you to be outside like this, then?

To make one's bed in a tree is easier - and quicker! - than to build oneself a house for the night, [he says lightly. Which is to say something like "I don't mind houses per se (especially if the house in question isn't provided by a kidnapping magical world), but I'm completely comfortable sleeping in trees, too".]

But Men, I have learned, seldom share Elves' thoughts on ease and comfort. You are used to having a proper bed always?

Oh... No. No, I'm not. [not at all, really.] Lately, though, I guess it's fair to say that I'm used to it, though.

It is not without reason that easefulness and peace are easy to grow used to, [he says with a nod.]

It is how people are meant to live, as enjoyable as a night under a starlit night can be.

When you say it like that, it sounds really nice.

I don't know. Maybe? It just sounds really nice when it's said like that... like... poetry or something? I'm not very good with words.

[Oh! He smiles broadly in response, now that he gets it.]

Then I thank you for your kind words. I make no claim of being a poet [Legolas everyone in your entire canon is a poet, jfc] but it gladdens me to hear you speak thus. To speak kindly, to make others happy, I would say is a talent unto itself.

To speak kindly... Just like that? It's strange, I never thought of that as a talent. Just... something you were supposed to do. [and sometimes can't.]

Kindness comes not easily - or naturally - to some, ["kindness is not in some people's nature", he means by that last part] nor is it necessary or even encouraged in all situations. I have heard, from people more inclined to kindness than me, that extending it to those who deserve it the least is the hardest, but often the most necessary.

I would call that a skill, then, but perhaps it is rather a matter of heart.

["A matter of nature; something one can't learn."]
