mecurtin: The Mammoth Fail of Why Would You Even Want That, and What I Want You to Write Instead - I *still* don't know why you'd want to have such a story, what the attraction of having pioneer discoverers coming to a virgin continent and driving the indigenous species to extinction would *be*, from a fantasy-writer's POV. That's not true, I can sort of see it -- but I guess my taste in fantasy is conservative in a way, and what I want to conserve is nature. -
