  • fabu: The perils of anonymity - there is never an excuse to attack or mislead other posters with anonymity. That's where it crosses the line for me, and even if the anonymity isn't primarily for the purpose of attacking people, once that happens, the entire project becomes suspect. -

  • amireal: My collection of thoughts re: anons - I see an awful lot of people trying to convince me of various things like: arguing in a vacuum is a good thing. I think that maybe the failsafes we have imposed on ourselves to avoid saying things are probably there for a reason. -

  • flutterbev: Freedom to flame without consequences - The phrase "free speech" gets bandied around a lot in fandom, often by those who think they have the right to say whatever they like, but that those who take exception to it should just shut up. Which is kind of a bizarre double standard -
