She tilts her head to look at him - he's much taller than she is, after all, and then does a quick shake of her head. "Why would I tell you to go away?" she asks. "You haven't said anything that's made me want you far away from me yet."
There's a kind of painful honesty in the way she says that, too, the kind of honesty that comes from being unused to dealing with social interactions like this one - meeting a stranger and having them become something akin to a friend, a proto-friend, as it were.
