He'd been having a dream about a field of flowers. It was peaceful. No worries, no monsters. Just sunlight and wind blowing. But the poke jerked him out of it and he lifts his head, eyes opening wide and reaching for his sword.

Geralt just needs a moment to readjust his mind. Because he feels her presence next to him and doesn't sense any immediate danger. "Was that you?"

The question is, ater all, probably one that could end seriously, if she approached it the wrong way, since Witchers and immediate concerns or warnings were kind of an issue, but here in the walls of the inn, where things are safe, it's HARD to take that as seriously as out in the middle of camp somewhere. It's almost as if the instincts she's picked up, or copied, sort of fly out the window in civilization.

"Good morning." Well, that's sort of an answer from the bard. "I got lonely."
