oo1 → Snuggles

The Cuddle Meme
from geeesh @ lj

HOW IT WORKS:
❧ Post a blank comment with your character's name, canon, and any preferences.
❧ Use RNG to choose your cuddle scenario (or choose your own).
❧ Cuddle!

CUDDLE SCENARIOS:
① Sweet dreams
It's been a long day and all you want to do is sleep or just rest your eyes for a bit. Hopefully whoever is close by doesn't mind if you use them as a blanket.

② Stormy weather
The heavy rain, thunder and lightning won't be letting up anytime soon. Luckily, it's the perfect weather to stay indoors and snuggle up close and keep warm.

③ Lazy dancer
It's the end of a party, or maybe it's only the two of you, but the tempo is slow and the lights are low. Let your dance partner take the weight and just sway.

④ Surprise attack
Time to invade someone's personal space. Are they working too much and need a distraction? Maybe you just wanted to brighten their day. Either way, they won't see it coming.

⑤ Movie night
It can be on the sofa or in a darkened theater, but you've got your popcorn and someone to settle against during your favorite movie.

⑥ I love you, man
It's totally platonic, really. You're just very good friends, no matter what people like to think. But you just love your friend so much you want to hug them, whether they like it or not.

⑦ Jeepers creepers
Welp. You were just frightened. Was it a spider in the washroom, a ghost in the attic, a bad dream? Either way, you're looking for someone to cling to right now, and who better than that person right there?

⑧ Hurt and comfort
Whether you're sick in bed, just been dumped or suffered a traumatic event, you need someone to wrap their arms around you and make everything go away.

⑨ Sunday morning
Maybe you just had a wild night. Maybe there’s just not enough space at your place and you need to share your bed. Or maybe you just got really tired and someone else happened to be there. Doesn't matter because now the person with you looks way more comfortable than any blanket or pillow. Drape to your heart’s content.

⑩ Moment after
You just had incredible, vigorous sex (playing out is totally optional) and if you weren't a cuddler before, you are now. You're probably too exhausted to do anything else anyway. Just enjoy the moment.

⑪ Ménage à trois
Or four, or five. Get a group and cuddle away.

⑫ Player's choice
Pick one or make up your own!

It's one frightened mouse that runs to Charles' room at top speed, squeezing himself under the door as fast as he can before leaping onto the bed. Without explanation, he jumps right into the covers, burrowing down as far into them as he can. Never mind that Charles was in bed at the time, he won't mind the surprise, right? Mouse Charles is too scared to think about consequences right now, he's just looking for someplace safe.

The feline shifted a bit, ears perking and rolling on his head, picking up the little noises far before he was aware what he was hearing. Opening his eyes, they focused easily enough in the dark, watching the little lump that was inching across his bed under the top cover. He resists pouncing the thing, worried it might be Mouse-Charles and he'll crush him, instead he hefts up the end of the sheet peering down at the scrambling little legs. "Charles?"

[There's a squeak of protest at being uncovered and mouse Charles burrows in deeper, pulling his tail in after him] Quick, hide! There's a monster out there! [The little lump is practically quivering under the covers as he pushes closer to cat Charles for safety]

[Down the hallway is the faint sound of the vacuum cleaner being run]

While he did not like the vacuum either, he understood what it was and his size gave him a little less fear of the noisy thing. He reaches down, trying to get a grip on the small mouse, Charles, it's alright-- it's just a machine, not a monster. He does his best to sound soothing, but he's not sure how to make it clear.

Mouse Charles avoids being grabbed, moving around under the covers like a gopher. Can't you hear it, cat Charles?? The monster is coming closer. Finally he's not able to avoid any longer and is nabbed by the reaching hand of the other Charles, pulled out of the covers and trying to stay hidden in the hand that's got him. It's a monster and it's scary. It eats up stuff. You're bigger, maybe you can scare it off?? He looks up with blinking eyes at him, hoping that it is indeed safer with cat Charles.

It's not a monster, He murmurs again, more gently as he brings the little thing up to his face, a soft stroke against his fur as he tries to sooth the poor little guy. It's for cleaning the floor, it doesn't like eating mice, you're too big.

Mouse Charles huddles under the petting hand and leans against cat Charles face, keeping an eye on the crack under the door. ...are you sure? It looked like it could eat a mouse.

I don't know, I've never seen it eat a mouse. He supposed it could be possible but he just never saw a mouse slow enough to be gotten by it, or even seen it try to get one before. He shrugs a little but and keeps petting. "We can just stay here till it's gone."

Good idea. Uh oh, it was coming right up to the door! Mouse Charles quickly ducks the petting hand and moves quickly onto cat Charles' shoulder and right down the back of his shirt to try and hide. Never mind that he probably didn't want a mouse down his shirt but at least it's warm under here.

He made an odd 'yip' like noise before yowling in surprise, he hadn't expected the little thing to do that and he has to resist rolling over in a panic because he doesn't want to hurt the little one. Instead he pushes onto his stomach and wiggles a bit, "M-mouse!" He sounds a little odd, voice wavering, "That tickles!"

oo5 → Movie night
[info]willnotgomeekly

It wasn't all plotting and planning for world domination in the headquarters of the Brotherhood. Oh, no, there were plenty of more mundane things that happened there. Tonight happened to be a designated movie night for anyone who could tolerate Erik's old school tastes. It usually ended with him alone on the couch with an old film and a bowl of popcorn. He certainly didn't mind the peace and quiet.

That was the usual occurrence. But, since the arrival of a certain feline to the group, Erik suspected that would be changing. He settled in on the couch after putting in the 1934 version of The Count of Monte Cristo into the DVD player and waited a few minutes to see if Charles would, in fact, show up to watch.

Charles hadn't been entirely sure himself; till he realized he didn't find anyone else quite as entertaining, and many far more temperamental. All this meant, of course, is a stealthy observance of Erik-- also known as him clamoring up to the back of the couch and peeking over the top of it at him for a good minute. He could be stealthy, in some instances, but he was so used to the natural weight of his powers he often didn't think about it. Ducking back down he inched around the side of the couch before drawing himself up and onto it, a low, almost nervous noise, passing his lips. He inched over a little bit at a time till he had made it as far as the center of the couch, hands folded politely against his knees, apparently trying far too hard to look innocuous and polite.

Erik merely glanced at the boy out of the corner of his eye, a slight smile curling his lips. Even he had to admit the boy brought a liveliness that hadn't been present in this place before. He might not have been actively seeking their agenda, but he was a mutant and one more with them, meant one less potential casualty later.

Without a word, Erik pressed play on the remote to start the movie. Finally, he turned to look at Charles and offered the large bowl of popcorn to him. "Would you like any?"

"Yes," He smiles as he grabs a handful, popping several pieces into his mouth and chewing as much as he could manage, little coughs passing his lips. After a second he managed to down the dry substance and decided he quite liked the salty and buttery taste more so than the popcorn itself. Picking up a piece or two he ate a little more slowly all the while scooting over a bit more till he was at best four or five inches away.

"What is this?" He asks as he finally turns his attention toward the screen."

His grab at the popcorn earned an amused look from Erik, followed by a smidge of concern when the coughing began. "The Count of Monte Cristo," Erik informed with a subtle smile. "It is one of my favourite films. Are you familiar with it?" Some part of him doubted the feline had read the novel, but it's possible Charles had seen one of the many film adaptations of the work.

"Le Comte de Monte-Cristo," He murmurs in repetition, but the information sounds more like it's filed and processed rather than truly understood. He feels like he should know it, that perhaps deep down he does-- or some part of him did however, as things stand he just shakes his head with a gentle 'no'.

"Is it very good?"

"It is my favourite," he admitted with a subtle nod. "I find I can associate with Edmond Dantes greatly," Erik continued. He leant back against the cushions, settling in comfortably on the couch to watch the film. "I recall watching it with my father when I wave very, very young. Younger than you are now."

"Your favorite?" His ears perk at the idea that something might be his favorite; because then it had to be good. Though he's caught off guard by the idea of Erik being younger than him and his head turns to the side his eyebrows up a little. A huff of amusement follows as he leans in, as if inspecting him a bit.

"Younger than me?"

The reaction amused Erik as well. A little smirk played over his features and he nodded once for emphasis. "Less than half your age, I'd wager. I was just a very small boy in those days."

The feline can't seem to decide if he believes him or not, but finds there's no reason he would be dishonest about something like this. He nods shortly, trying to imagine what he would've looked like, but he can't really seem to, at least not very well. "You must have been small." He settles for imagining a tiny Erik instead, because that's far simpler.

"Indeed I was," he mused with a nostalgic chuckle. "This is one of the first films I recall seeing." In truth, Erik's father loved the book and, when Erik was a boy, took him to see it. He didn't recall much of it, but when he was able to as an adult, he found a copy to have for himself.

While he didn't understand all the implications of the situation, he was very glad to at least be able watch it with Erik himself. Purring, ever so gently, he nudges closer his nose lightly bumping into the older man's shoulder. "It's a very nice movie," He wasn't really paying attention to it however, that feline attention span not to keen on classic movies.
