oo1 → Snuggles

The Cuddle Meme
from geeesh @ lj

HOW IT WORKS:
❧ Post a blank comment with your character's name, canon, and any preferences.
❧ Use RNG to choose your cuddle scenario (or choose your own).
❧ Cuddle!

CUDDLE SCENARIOS:
① Sweet dreams
It's been a long day and all you want to do is sleep or just rest your eyes for a bit. Hopefully whoever is close by doesn't mind if you use them as a blanket.

② Stormy weather
The heavy rain, thunder and lightning won't be letting up anytime soon. Luckily, it's the perfect weather to stay indoors and snuggle up close and keep warm.

③ Lazy dancer
It's the end of a party, or maybe it's only the two of you, but the tempo is slow and the lights are low. Let your dance partner take the weight and just sway.

④ Surprise attack
Time to invade someone's personal space. Are they working too much and need a distraction? Maybe you just wanted to brighten their day. Either way, they won't see it coming.

⑤ Movie night
It can be on the sofa or in a darkened theater, but you've got your popcorn and someone to settle against during your favorite movie.

⑥ I love you, man
It's totally platonic, really. You're just very good friends, no matter what people like to think. But you just love your friend so much you want to hug them, whether they like it or not.

⑦ Jeepers creepers
Welp. You were just frightened. Was it a spider in the washroom, a ghost in the attic, a bad dream? Either way, you're looking for someone to cling to right now, and who better than that person right there?

⑧ Hurt and comfort
Whether you're sick in bed, just been dumped or suffered a traumatic event, you need someone to wrap their arms around you and make everything go away.

⑨ Sunday morning
Maybe you just had a wild night. Maybe there’s just not enough space at your place and you need to share your bed. Or maybe you just got really tired and someone else happened to be there. Doesn't matter because now the person with you looks way more comfortable than any blanket or pillow. Drape to your heart’s content.

⑩ Moment after
You just had incredible, vigorous sex (playing out is totally optional) and if you weren't a cuddler before, you are now. You're probably too exhausted to do anything else anyway. Just enjoy the moment.

⑪ Ménage à trois
Or four, or five. Get a group and cuddle away.

⑫ Player's choice
Pick one or make up your own!

The reaction amused Erik as well. A little smirk played over his features and he nodded once for emphasis. "Less than half your age, I'd wager. I was just a very small boy in those days."

The feline can't seem to decide if he believes him or not, but finds there's no reason he would be dishonest about something like this. He nods shortly, trying to imagine what he would've looked like, but he can't really seem to, at least not very well. "You must have been small." He settles for imagining a tiny Erik instead, because that's far simpler.

"Indeed I was," he mused with a nostalgic chuckle. "This is one of the first films I recall seeing." In truth, Erik's father loved the book and, when Erik was a boy, took him to see it. He didn't recall much of it, but when he was able to as an adult, he found a copy to have for himself.

While he didn't understand all the implications of the situation, he was very glad to at least be able watch it with Erik himself. Purring, ever so gently, he nudges closer his nose lightly bumping into the older man's shoulder. "It's a very nice movie," He wasn't really paying attention to it however, that feline attention span not to keen on classic movies.

"I'm glad you're enjoying it," Erik mused. He knew Charles wasn't actually following along, but he was all right with that. This was leisure time, after all, and if Charles was content to spend it with him, so be it. The cat rarely was a nuisance to him and, in truth, Erik often found his company soothing. He was calmer than most of the Brotherhood and reminded Erik exactly what he'd been working for: a home for those like the cat. He lifted his hand and gave him a light pat on the head.

He tipped his head up toward the hand, smiling and nuzzling it a bit before he took that as an invitation to close the last bit of distance and curl himself into Erik's side. A little purr and a happy flick of his tail, his thoughts a contented mush, much like his posture.

"What other things do you like?"

He wasn't usually a terribly affectionate person, but Erik dropped his arm around Charles when he nestled closer. He didn't mind the companionship and the boy's feline nature made everything seem completely innocent.

"Oh, well," he mused thoughtfully. "I enjoy playing chess and reading to better myself. And you, little one? What do you enjoy?"

He settled down, at least, once he was leaning into the warmth he could sap from Erik. A gentle purr rumbling from his chest as his eyes eased closed. "I like those things too," A short nod, because while it was nice to appease him; they were interests of his-- something belonging to the proper personality in his head rather than the feline nature.

"I like napping and blankets and toys too."

"And blanket-like items," Erik reminded, recalling with amusement how they'd first met. While he was unsure of the feline would have the attention span for an intense match of chess, it wouldn't be hard to play a long match broken up into shorter spans of time. Charles' interest in chess captured his attention.

"Perhaps we can play a match in the near future, hm?"

"Yes, and those," He smiles rather coyly, head tipped in his direction as he curls up a little more, keeping his warmth in and contentedly pressed into his side. Capes were soft, smelled nice and often enough he could sneak away with it for a while without being caught-- or at least before he could.

"I would like that very much."

"I had no idea you played," Erik admitted with a bit of a sigh. That was his own fault, after all, for assuming the cat was a simple being. Cats were canny creatures, wily, and very, very smart. It might take a while, but Erik was never in a rush when playing chess. "I always play black," he informed. Despite the boy having a familiar face, he never likened him with the Charles he'd known in his youth. There's no way this Charles knew the things the Charles he'd known most of his life would know.

"I had no idea you played," He comments with a pleasant lift at the end of his words, a teasing quip almost. The subject hadn't come up before, not with him anyhow, so he had never thought to mention it. He did like the pieces however, and the game itself was fun for the time he could settle in and play.

"Why black?"

"I believe white has a disadvantage in have to make the first move," Erik explained. "By making the first move, white reveals something about how he intends to play the game and must be more adaptable in changing his strategy after each and every move."

There's a sly little smile on his face as he bunches his fingers in some of Erik's clothing, "So you like taking the easy way? Is that what you're saying?" He makes a soft little 'tsk'ing sound, his tail ticking from side to side with every little note.

"Hardly," Erik chortled. "It is common belief that black has the disadvantage as he much go after white and thus adapt to white's strategy for the game. I simply see it from another perspective."

"We will have to wait and see who wins~!" He coo's enthusiastically as he leans forward, gently bumping Erik with his nose and a clasping his hands. "I've not been able to play games in a while!"

"Nor have I," Erik admitted, a bit of fondness slipping into his usually neutral voice. "There've been few travelling through these walls in many long years who provided a challenge or even shown any interest in chess. A true tragedy, I assure you."
