oo1 → Snuggles

The Cuddle Meme
from geeesh @ lj

HOW IT WORKS:
❧ Post a blank comment with your character's name, canon, and any preferences.
❧ Use RNG to choose your cuddle scenario (or choose your own).
❧ Cuddle!

CUDDLE SCENARIOS:
① Sweet dreams
It's been a long day and all you want to do is sleep or just rest your eyes for a bit. Hopefully whoever is close by doesn't mind if you use them as a blanket.

② Stormy weather
The heavy rain, thunder and lightning won't be letting up anytime soon. Luckily, it's the perfect weather to stay indoors and snuggle up close and keep warm.

③ Lazy dancer
It's the end of a party, or maybe it's only the two of you, but the tempo is slow and the lights are low. Let your dance partner take the weight and just sway.

④ Surprise attack
Time to invade someone's personal space. Are they working too much and need a distraction? Maybe you just wanted to brighten their day. Either way, they won't see it coming.

⑤ Movie night
It can be on the sofa or in a darkened theater, but you've got your popcorn and someone to settle against during your favorite movie.

⑥ I love you, man
It's totally platonic, really. You're just very good friends, no matter what people like to think. But you just love your friend so much you want to hug them, whether they like it or not.

⑦ Jeepers creepers
Welp. You were just frightened. Was it a spider in the washroom, a ghost in the attic, a bad dream? Either way, you're looking for someone to cling to right now, and who better than that person right there?

⑧ Hurt and comfort
Whether you're sick in bed, just been dumped or suffered a traumatic event, you need someone to wrap their arms around you and make everything go away.

⑨ Sunday morning
Maybe you just had a wild night. Maybe there’s just not enough space at your place and you need to share your bed. Or maybe you just got really tired and someone else happened to be there. Doesn't matter because now the person with you looks way more comfortable than any blanket or pillow. Drape to your heart’s content.

⑩ Moment after
You just had incredible, vigorous sex (playing out is totally optional) and if you weren't a cuddler before, you are now. You're probably too exhausted to do anything else anyway. Just enjoy the moment.

⑪ Ménage à trois
Or four, or five. Get a group and cuddle away.

⑫ Player's choice
Pick one or make up your own!

oo4 → SUPRISE ATTACK XD

Brian was working so hard on his project lately, Lila couldn't help but notice it. Mostly she noticed him seeming more tired and having less time to spend in their study sessions. So, the idea was almost, almost pushed aside when she saw him diligently pouring over his notes and books outside. Almost. Lila crept over as quietly as she could in heels on concrete and pounced, literally pounced, on him from behind.

And Brian jumped. People normally didn't pounce on him without warning. He dropped his pen that he was using to take some notes for his project and then awkwardly adjusted his glasses. "Hi, Lila." He straightened out and caught a glance at her from the corner of his eye.

It was rather obvious who it was attacking, even without him trying to get a look at her. The mane of red hair usually was a dead give away. Lila rarely wore it up and even pulled back there was enough of it to spill all over the place. She gave a gentle squeeze as if to claim the effort a success.

"Who did you chose to write about?" The soft Irish lilt with which she spoke was another give away. Lila quickly released her hold and settled in next to Brian, peering curiously at his books.

"I haven't decided, I have a few options." He blinked and pushed his glasses up on his nose. He turned to watch her and moved his fingers over his papers in front of him. He had a stack of various biographies.

"I'm leaning toward Plath," she mused, pulling her legs up and wrapping her arms around them. Her lips pressed together before she turned her head to give him a questioning gaze. "That's typical, isn't it? Girls leaning toward Austen and Plath."

"I'm sure your report won't be typical, so it would be okay to pick a typical subject." He couldn't imagine Lila doing something boring. He moved his fingers over the pages of a book. "I think I might do a science fiction writer. Philip K. Dick or Issac Asimov..." his voice trailed off. They were both curious creatures in his eyes. Searching for and writing about things. "Or Orwell. Got 1985 wrong." He looked a bit amused for a moment, shifting his glasses on his nose.

"Those are all good choices," Lila mused with a slight nod. "Science fiction hasn't really been accepted as a proper genre of literature yet despite all the great works in it. It would make for really great topic, especially with prolific authors like those."

It would be fun, he realized. It would be nice to speak on something that no one else probably even thought of. Brian had figured he would at least do something unusual. "I think I'll do Asimov," he said, closing the book he was reading. "Just want to do something no one else would do."

"Do you like science fiction, Brian?" Lila realised that for all the class they had together and all the time they often studied together, she really didn't know much about Brian's literary interests. "I've always been really fond of the gothic writers, especially from the Victorian period."

"Some," Brian answered. He shoved a piece of paper into the pages of his book and closed it. There was an awkward shift, which was an attempt to sit more comfortably. "I like science fiction. I like classic literature." A bit of everything, really. He just enjoyed reading, learning, and gaining that knowledge.

"What do you plan to do when you're done here?" Lila wasn't really sure what would come of her after university. She'd probably head back to daddy in New York to take over his hotels. Not exactly what she wanted to do, but it was expected of her.

"I'm not sure yet," Brian said. But knowledge was the answer to all of his questions. If he had the knowledge he wanted, then he could easily find a path to head down. It was so much easier when he learned what he wanted. He, honestly, didn't have a plan yet, but he had a little bit of time to figure it out. "I figure I just keep learning."

"That must be nice," she mused with a wistful sigh. Lila leant back on her hands and looked upward toward the clouds. "Not having everything planned out for you, I mean."

"Learning things is the most important thing," Brian said. He had become happier the more that he learned. "If you don't want it planned out for you, keep learning things until it isn't." Not that he was very good for offering advice. He tended to botch things up badly, very quickly.

She chuckled and gave a sad shake of her head. "You haven't met my parents. They're both a bit... overbearing. Daddy's insistent I carry on the family business and it's pretty unlikely he'll have any more kids to take up the mantle."

Not that Brian could exactly understand, but he was - at least - sympathetic to what she was saying. "Things can change. You never know." He had to remain at little optimistic. He had run into strings of luck that kept him here at school - and that let him to go there. "Could make the job fun, probably. Doesn't mean you can't do it your own way."

She hummed a bit and nodded once. Though Lila had doubts that she'd be able to wiggle out of the family legacy, she was determined to make the most of it while she was free to do so. After all, her father was in good health and wasn't a terribly old man. He could have another thirty years of running the place before he handed it over to her.

"There's still plenty of time, too. Decades, at least." She paused, then perked. "You should come visit for a holiday. New York is an amazing place."

"I could come visit." It wasn't like Brian ever made many plans, and New York would be a nice change of pace. "I've never had a chance to visit." And he didn't think he'd ever really get a chance to go. He was silent for a few moments. "Maybe one of our breaks here."

"Aweomse," Lila chirped, bouncing a little where she sat. "I have to warn you, though, Daddy's really... uh... Well, he'll either hit on you or assume you have ill intentions and try to scare you off. Please don't let him bother you. He doesn't think men can just be friends without wanting something out of it."

"I'll..." Wait, had she said he would hit on him? He snapped his mouth shut and blinked. He wasn't comfortable when anyone hit on him. "I will do my best to not get scared away." He hoped he wouldn't think that he had ill intentions towards Lila.

"Well," Lila crooned with a mischievous grin, "It's not as if you can just run away. Where would you go all by yourself in New York?" Her expression darkened a little, growing more serious. "I just thought you should be prepared. Daddy's pretty... blunt about his feelings and his distrust of people. Try not to take it too personally."

She brightened a little. It wasn't often she was able to have friends visit. Most of them couldn't get to New York or weren't interested in going. "I'm sure he'll like you. You're very clever."

"That's..." he smiled a little bit, "Thank you." He hoped he liked him, and he hoped it was because he was clever. It would be very difficult if they didn't get along and Brian was still there.
