"A moment," he snapped, growling under his breath. The moment he was released, he jerked away as if the other man had hit him. Charles might be content with the outcome, and rightfully so. Arthur couldn't fault him for being glad not to be shot at but even as he reached for his die, he wondered if he could trust it. Anyone that could be in his mind could know what made it special.
"For you, yes," he said, forcing himself to take a deep breath, straightening his jacket. "Not entirely sure how I feel about it, but you won't be shot and that is the goal currently."
