HOW IT WORKS:
❧ Post a blank comment with your character's name, canon, and any preferences.
❧ Reply to others using the RNG to choose a scenario (or choose your own).
❧ Strike up a correspondence or answer a letter in person.

SCENARIOS:
① Love confession
You want that person to know how you feel, but you can't say it in person. Or maybe you think it's more romantic this way.

② Passing notes
You're in class or somewhere public and you're just passing little notes to each other.

③ Out of town
One of you is out of town, be it for school, business, or something else. What better way to keep connected with your loved one?

④ War
One of you is off fighting in a war. These are the times in which we must especially keep our loved ones close. Just don't brag about the letters or show them off -- that's a surefire way to get yourself killed.

⑤ Reconnecting
You haven't seen each other for a very long time, but you still carry a torch. Why not reach out to them?

⑥ Choose your own
Choose your own option or mix and match more than one.

Dear Erik -

I do hope this letter finds you well. I had thought of other ways to reach you but everything does seem to be difficult at this time and most lack of the security of this form.

Need to find an easier way of explaining this all to you, though I suspect what I'm writing is being read before it reaches you.

Help should not be far off though, do remember that. Please do respond as soon as possible.

Dear Emma,

I am pleased to hear from you. I was beginning to think you'd decided to leave for good.

Will you be staying at your family home for long? Some business will be brining me near there in the future and I wonder if we might speak in person. Even such communications as these lack in security. Letters get lost or fall into the wrong hands often enough.

Send my regards to your family. I understand they are lovely people. ~~Amazing you survived them at all!~~ Honestly, I've no idea why you insist on maintaining ties with them at all. Is the money that important to you, my dear?

Azazel is a poor stand-in for you, Emma. He lacks certain skill that you alone possess. We all hope you return to us very soon. Surely we're better company than you have presently.

Dearest Erik-

Appreciate your time without me, because getting rid of me might well be difficult after I return.

That would be delightful if you did come to see me. Trust that the company I currently have is not what I would choose. Trust this was not my favoured idea, and I do look forward to seeing you in the near future.

Do you have any idea how much I have endured to get where I am with them? Perhaps I'll merely see them, and all that comes with them, done by my own hand. Or min, as the case may be. I didn't come this far to give up what is my due as a Frost, thank you.

Hurry, Darling. You are truly missed, and while Azazel is charming company for a time, he isn't one to help me see this through. Of course you're better company. I shall prove that to you.

Be that as it may, I hope your personal business wont take you away again. It is trying to have to let you go. There are so few with your talents. Yes, I'm admitted you're needed.

 Dear Corporal Lehnsherr,
I hope this letter reaches you well, I know that's much to expect during these 
times, but I hope none the less. I wasn't sure where to address this letter, so
 I suppose I should hope it reaches you at all! I've addressed it to the last
 post I know you were stationed at, so hopefully this finds it's way to you. I
 find wartime is tiring enough that without the fond note of company it can
 become unbearable. I know the few letters I got did me well, so I wish to try
 and continue as such and send a few to you. I don't expect you to reply, or go
 out of your way to handle it, but perhaps just find some pleasantness in the
 fact that someone is thinking of you. 

Currently we're stationed a few hundred miles outside of Luxembourg, which is 
interesting in itself. The entire city has constructed walls to obstruct any
 viewing and entrance to the city. I've got no idea how well they'll work, but
 they seem to at least put the residence more at ease. We've seen an occasional
 troop scouting but the city seems to take a non-confrontational stance to the
 whole thing, neutrality in war is a difficult task. 

Not the most interesting conversation piece I suppose; but I find during
 wartime there's little to talk about that isn't a reminder of one's already
 stifled predicament. They say we might head home within the next six or seven
 months, which is... a pleasant thought at least. I find it unlikely, as
 optimistic as I care to be, the generals all sound assured that we're not
 going anywhere for some time. It is, however, nice to be in a relatively
 peaceful area for once. 

I've sent a package along, I do hope you get it too.

[ In the parcel was an engraved mess-kit, something he had gotten from a GI and then had engraved in the little town. It was artistic, though he doubted the value of it's art would compare to the use he was sure could come from it. The mess kit or meat can used to prepare, cook and eat food. The U.S. GI's mess kit consisted of a two-part pan with hinged handle, which also closed the device when the two halves were not in use. The mess kit also contained a knife, fork and spoon. The kit was made of rust-resistant stainless steel. The kit and utensils easily fit into the little pouch he's sent along. Not much, really, he wasn't even sure Erik would want it-- but he had never seen the man get any letters when they had been stationed together and he wanted to give him something. ]

Dear Lance Corporal,

Your gift came as quite a surprise, if I'm to be honest, but appreciated. Too much in the way of dire news has found its way to me of late. It's nice to hear from you. I've often wondered if you've managed to adapt to the cold nights spent in fox holes. Even for someone accustomed to harsh winters, it's a difficult thing to do.

It would seem we're not too far behind you. The regiment I've fallen in with is moving north from France toward Belgium. Perhaps we'll be meeting again soon. Until then, feel free to write when you can. I shall endeavour to do the same. Stay alert and safe.
