New Body Meme

A change has been made. How you cope is up to you.

1. Robot - This is a classic. Your entire body has been replaced with electronic parts. There is nothing human left. Or is there? That's up to you.

2. Android - You may be mechanical on the inside, but on the outside you look practically human. In fact, you might not even know you're not human. That's sure going to be a surprise when you find out.

3. Integrated - It might be a space ship, a super computer, a network computer system but you've been wired in. Part of the machine. Do you run the whole shebang or are you part of a huge mechanical whole. Does anyone else know there's a human presence trapped inside this machine? Perhaps you ought to find a way to contact someone on the outside.

4. Freaky Alternate - This is where it gets really weird. There really isn't much of you left. The brain is intact, maybe the whole head, but someone's keeping you alive. And under glass. Can someone scratch your nose? You're a bit lacking in the arm department.

5. Nanites - They're small and smart and inside of you. Possibly working to repair you...possibly working against you to make you into something new. Should you get rid of them? Keep them? Reprogram them?

6. Hologram - Your mind is now ones and zeroes in a computer. But you get this nifty projection that can walk around and interact. Also walk through things. It's not as much fun when people walk through you though. That's just rude.

7. New face - This may have been your idea. Hopefully it was your idea. Because you're waking up with a brand new face. That plastic surgeon sure knows his stuff, even you don't recognize you. It's either going to be a shock or a chance at a new life.

8. Microchipped - Wait, so there's a microchip implanted where?? And it does what? Who controls it? Better find them and figure out what this is all about.

9. Appliance - Ok, who's idea was this? You're not even human shaped anymore, you're a machine. A blender, a PC computer, a washing machine....maybe even a car. Except it's still you in there somehow.

10. Everything Else - There must be something I missed. Put it in!

	Though they did take precautions against Charles, this particular anti-mutant participant hasn't gotten rid of all the metal objects on their person. There's a yelp as they're pulled back towards the two mutants. "Careful, he or she could still have that dart gun," Charles cautions Erik as the struggling person is coming towards them. 	Oh the moment Erik sees the person come into view, he merely nods. With his powers (it takes a bit but hey...) he takes whatever weapons are on the person off. Precautionary measure. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

There's a halo of sorts around their head, once that's off, Charles can finally sense their mind. They're terrified, angry....and not fond of mutants.

"Well...hello there," he says amicably as the person is dragged to them. He has two fingers to his temple, scanning their mind, all the while the person is freaking out about being this close to mutants.

"We, apparently, were tagged. So they could keep an eye on us."

Charles shakes his head, "No, it's not nice at all. And they're not done...there's more ambushes of mutants planned all over town." Thanks to this person's mind, he now knows where they all are.

"Don't hurt him, Erik," he says, stepping closer. The person is terrified that he's going to be killed on the spot but instead, Charles gives him a reassuring smile. "It's ok, we're not going to hurt you. Forget our faces and go home."

The person stops fighting against Erik's influence and just stands there, giving Charles an unfocused nod.

"Let him go, we need to save the others."

	Erik isn't like Charles though. He wants to hurt the damn human before them. Humans and following orders... However, he does eventually let him go so he can leave. "Lets go, Charles." He's not giving the weapons back or the device that kept Charles out. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Charles doesn't expect him to. He does lead them to where the human had left his car. Locked but that shouldn't be a problem. "We'll borrow this and stop the other ambushes before they happen. We can't let mutants be tracked like this." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	No. The car being locked isn't a problem. Not when the locking mechanism is metal. So once those doors are opened he slips in. "Where are they?" (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"Ten miles down the road, they've lured a shapeshifter. If we're lucky, they won't be expecting us." Meaning, they won't be protecting themselves from telepathy. Charles starts up the car and pulls away from the curb quickly. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Charles is ever mindful of Erik's reaction to humans. He parks a distance away from the ambush site. There's a few other cars here too, presumably the humans. So that nobody can hear them, Charles switches to mind speak. Ok...if you were going to ambush someone, where would you hide? (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Of course he is. Then again after dealing with concentration camps, Shaw and his men... who wouldn't be mindful of his reactions to humans. So the moment he hears Charles in his head, his eyes narrow. There's not too many places to hide. However, behind the cars, under them or up in the trees. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Charles nods, reaching out to sense a few in the trees. I've got three of them, but there may be more. He has his hands at his temples, eyes closed and bringing the three of them down carefully, all of them unaware of their actions. There may be more though. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Did Charles really want Erik to 'take that group' as he put it. However he concentrates on the metal within them and drags them out, away from the mutant. He'd make sure they couldn't hurt anyone. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Wrapping them up might not hurt either. There's probably enough metal around to do that. Charles will deal with his more sedate group of rebels, treating them the same as the first. Soon, they are all driving back home, leaving the ambush behind.

Charles is a little grim, coming back to see how Erik is doing. He doesn't like what these people have planned. "Doing ok?"

	"Doing just fine, Charles," he says simply. Some of them are wrapped with their own weapons and others wrapped around trees with no way out. The metal tight enough to hurt just a little but not enough to do any permanent damage. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Charles covers a smile at the angry metal wrapped humans. He really shouldn't laugh...but it was a funny sight. He pulls the headset off the nearest one. "Seems they've worked out how to block telepathy." Charles pulls away, eyes closed as one of the humans spits in his direction. "Here now, that's rude." And that human falls instantly asleep.
