The Wild Side meme

Readers of fanfiction will recognize this set up straight away. Maybe your character's touched some cursed object they shouldn't have? Maybe they've ticked off the local witch? Maybe it's just in their blood and it's "that time" of the month? Whatever the case, it's time for a change and you just changed right in front of someone...

Fur, fangs, or tails. WHAT NOW?

« Post a comment: Character name, canon/fandom, and any preferences.
« Go to RNG and roll: 1-5 for the duration of the change, 1-4 for the awareness, and 1-25 for the critter they'll be wearing and/or...
« Wait for other newly changed critters to tag back.
« Tag around to other folks!

Duration:
1. A few hours.
2. A day.
3. A week.
4. A month.
5. A year.

Awareness options:
1. None - You've gone completely native.
2. Partial, but fading - You knew, a minute ago, but it's not so clear now...
3. Aware, but non-communicative - You know who you are, who they are, and what happened. Can you find a way to communicate?
4. Dr. Dolittle - You can understand them or they can understand you. Big deal. You're still a frog.

Domestic:
1. Cat - Common tabby? Dainty Siamese? Floofy Persian? You're aloof, stealthy, and the master of your domain. Dig into the catnip and purr, purr, purr.
2. Dog - Little, yappy chihuahua? Great Dane? You're loyal, playful, and eager to please. Who's a good boy? Huh? Who's it? Is it you? Yes it is!
3. Bird - Parrots, parakeets, and finches... Maybe you talk? Maybe you chirp? Maybe you just eat, shit, and rattle the cage bars?
4. Rabbit - Twitchy noses and a hankering for leafy greens. Mind your surroundings and don't eat the black jellybeans.
5. Hamster - The world is your Habitrail. Except during the day, you lazy, furry bastard.

Herpetological
6. Snake - Scaly, but not slimy. Poisonous? Constrictor? C'mon, get slinky.
7. Lizard - Still more scales, but you've got a leg up on your slithering brethren (probably four of them).
8. Toad/Frog - Can you convince anyone to kiss you?
9. Turtle/Tortoise - Slow down, speedy! What do you think this is? A race?
10. Alligator/Croc - Ain't she a beauty?

Small Exotics:
11. Bat - They're great survivors.
12. Ferret - Shifty little bastards. Hide your shiny objects and watch your toes.
13. Sugar Glider - Nervous, nocturnal little marsupials. Your one function in life is to be adorable. Go with it.
14. Skunk - When you get pissed off, someone else gets pissed on.
15. Tarantula - You look terrifying, but you break like glass. Watch your step. All eight of them.

Large Exotics:
16. Large cat - Lions, tigers, cheetahs, oh my! They don't make carpeted climbing trees in your size.
17. Bird of prey - Eagle, hawk, falcon. The sky's the limit. No, really.
18. Horse - Watch out for those Texans and their spurs. On the upside, you are your own transportation.
19. Primate - Monkeys, gorillas, baboons... have a swinging good time!
20. Canidae - Wolves, foxes, coyote. Bark at the moon, but watch out for the animal control truck.

Holy Crap!:
21. Kangaroo - G'day, mate.
22. Penguin - Dapper little chap.
23. Walrus - My, but you look cranky.
24. Panda - Your adorableness is exceeded only by your ability to snatch someone's face off...
25. Bear - Winnie the Pooh you ain't.

[He stops growling when he finally puts gloves on.]

I thought the same when I injected myself. Now…

[His stomach was bothering him, it was hard to think when you hadn't eaten]

…add distilled water to one beaker and heat it to 98.6 Fahrenheit. Put 20 mls DNA solution in the other.

[Okay, maybe this stuff isn't that complicated. But all day? Yeah, he's very glad he's not a scientist.]

Except I'm not injecting anything. ...Does it really matter that it's distilled? Water's water.

It's for heating the test tube evenly.

[Bruce noses a pair of tongs over to him for holding the test tube of DNA solution.] You heat it till it changes color, let it cool for 5 minutes, then draw it up with 5mls anesthetic.

[extra insurance in case this didn't work out]

If you want to heat it evenly you should keep it centered.

[La la la science. Blonsky is Doing Science, alert the presses.]

...I broke the holder. [Trying to do it with his doggie paws]

[Bruce watches him carefully, trying to ignore his growling stomach. However, the sound of a hot dog vendor going by...that is a little harder to ignore. Before he can stop himself, he's at the window, smelling the air and practically drooling over the scent.]

'Course you did.

[He's part of the way through when the dog moves, darting off as if he'd lost interest. Blonsky sets down the equipment and follows; if he loses Banner now he may never find him again.]</small>

What is it, boy? Timmy in the well again?

[It doesn't mean he can't have some fun with this; have one of the few pop culture references he actually knows.]

[....he would so bite you. If he was prone to biting.]

[He makes a gruff sound with whine, physically tearing himself away from the window.] ...sorry. Where were we?

[He does a circle, almost going back to the window and trying to stay on topic.]

Your science experiment? Provided you can pay attention, that is.

D'you need to go walkies?

[Seriously, Banner. Self control.]

[Ok, for that, you get a nip on your pants cuff.]

No. I'm hungry. It's hard to think.

Add 5% saline to the solution.
