010. Caught in the act

Caught In The Act Meme
(Extended Edition)

We all masturbate, it's nothing to be ashamed of. It's also something most prefer to keep private. But sometimes, people forget to knock while we're in the middle of things, and awkwardness ensues.

* Post with your character's name and fandom in the subject line
* Others reply, stumbling in on you.
* You pick a reaction from the list below. (Or roll 1-10!)
* PROFIT!

(Warning: possible triggers beyond!)

REACTIONS:
1) Embarrassment Yeah, someone just caught you in a very private act and you kind of wish the ground would swallow you up. Now.

2) Anger How dare someone barge in on you without knocking! You'll give them a piece of your mind right now.

3) Excitement Exhibitionism happens to be a major turn-on for you, so you'll just continue~ Maybe even ask them to give you a hand, hehehe...

4) Apathy Big deal, it's not like they've been living in a bubble where they never knew masturbation existed, and if they were they had to find out about it sometime.

5) Squick Either it was a family member who just walked in on you or you just feel so utterly dirty at having been caught doing something so personal.

6) Delayed reaction You didn't even notice they were there until after you finished.

7) Derailed reaction Oh no you've been--what is that on their head? Wait, the world's ending now? D-did you just see that unicorn? Worry about being caught later, figure out what the hell is going on first.

8) Frustration COME ON, EVERY TIME!

9) Relief Thank GOODNESS someone came by! Otherwise you'd have had to stop and go grab that toy/pillow/remote for the annoying stereo yourself. Also they could maybe swap discs because this movie isn't really doing it for you. What do you mean it's inappropriate? It's not like you're asking them to watch.

10) Wildcard! You know the rules!

"Thank you, Doctor," he said with a pleased grin, settling in a chair. He leaned back to watch the older man make tea.

"Anytime, Doctor.", he laughed softly, fixing the other's tea how he remembered he used to like it. Who knew remembering something like that would ever come in handy?

"What have you been up to?" he asked. "Still having adventures?" He flashed a smile and leaned forward, elbows on the table. He couldn't imagine outgrowing that, even in another five hundred years, if he lived that long.

"Of course! You know, even in my old age I can't really stay still. Never really suited us.", the Doctor smiled as he set one of the cups in front of the other, making sure he didn't knock it over. "How about you? What've you been up to, Doctor?"

"Oh, you know how it is. Bumping about the universe. Trying not to get stranded on another planet for six hundred years. Occasional bouts of amnesia." He gave a wry smile and sipped his tea. "Mmmmmm," he murmured. He set it down again to let it cool slightly.

"You know, I've yet to have amnesia at all. I feel like I'm really missing out on something there." He laughed softly, playing with his own cup a bit shyly. "Feel a bit better, Doctor?"

"You should count yourself lucky," he said with a soft chuckle. "Sometimes it feels like every time I turn around I trip over something and can't remember who I am. Either people set up some sort of psychic interference, or mental parasites get past my defenses... It's just awful."

He flashed a smile at the other man. "Much better, thank you," he murmured.

"Well, I figured it couldn't be a good thing, forgetting yourself and all. But it must be amazing when you finally do get all of that back...or has it lost it's thrill?" He asked curiously as he sipped his tea, putting his cup out of reach of his elbow since it'd become somewhat of a habit for him to accidentally knock them over.

He felt a bit flustered at the smile, which was a bit confusing since he'd assured himself that no he did not have a crush on his younger self. Still, he managed to return it without looking too nervous, though he did have to look away a moment. "um...so how far along is this for you, Doctor?"

"I'm not quite sure I have gotten it all back. Sometimes I think I find the edge of a hole in my memory. But I can't work out the shape of it." He frowned slightly. "Nothing too major, I think, at least." He wrapped his fingers around his teacup but didn't lift it to drink.

His expression fell slightly. "I'm on my own now," he said softly. "I... lost Lucie. And Alex." He swallowed. It had been so wonderful to find real family. And he'd had it so briefly...

"That does sound sort of troubling though, Doctor. Are you sure it isn't something you really should remember?" He asked with a slight frown, not wanting to damper the conversation though he knew it was probably for the best.

At the mention of Lucy and Alex, his own expression mirrored that of the other Doctor's, though he was sure his memory of the pain was nothing compared to his. He reached out, gently resting his hand against the other's. "I'm sorry Doctor...I really didn't mean to make you upset."

"I don't know. It may be. I can't remember." He gave a sad smile. "There's really nothing to be done."

He closed his eyes and shook his head. "It's not your fault," he said softly. "It happens. Everybody leaves eventually." Leaves, or dies. Even the Doctor couldn't save everyone. He curled his fingers around his other self's. "It's all right," he said softly.

He nodded, forcing himself to smile as well though it pained him to do so. It was a bit upsetting to know that there could be a piece of the time lord before him still missing. What was even worse was that he seemed to give up on reclaiming it...but even if he hadn't how would he? The whole situation brought up a mix of feelings in the Doctor, ones he was sure he wasn't quite ready to sort out.

He laced his fingers gently with the other's, still unable to hide the guilt he felt for bringing the subject up. He squeezed his hand gently in his own, his gaze still on the other. "You have to admit that it was rather tactless of me to ask considering your memories are mine though.", he sighed softly as he shook his head. "Even I can tell you're not okay, Doctor. Talk to me, please."

He smiled weakly. "Oh, you know how it is, traveling alone. You start talking to yourself. It's... been a little while." He wouldn't exactly say he was over the loss, but... it was easier to ignore it, now. Though he still hadn't found any new friend to dispel the loneliness. "You couldn't have known what memory the question would bring up," he murmured. "You had no way to tell where in our timeline I had popped in from. I know that there are more things that haven't yet happened to me, good and bad, that could equally have been answers to that question. Or I could have told you that I'd just taken Mary Shelley to Vienna." He smiled again. "That was a time, wasn't it?" His fingers tightened around the older man's.

"Yes...I do." He felt his chest ache just a little as he listened to the other, knowing it'd been longer than a 'little while'. Normally he could last at least a year or two before he started babbling at himself which made him wonder just how long it'd really been for the younger Time Lord. "I could've taken a wild guess and hoped for the best...or avoided the subject all together. Too many ways you could trip up talking about my past and your future.", he frowned as he held the other's hand just a bit tighter now. "Yes, it really was."

He hesitated a moment before moving to stand, gently tugging the other to his feet and into his arms. It was a bit foolish to think he could cure everything with a hug, but that didn't mean he'd ever really skip that part. Hand holding was nice, but a bit too distant for him anyways.

He let himself be pulled up without resistance, then leaned into the Doctor's embrace, resting his head on his shoulder. His fingers curled into the fabric at the back of his shirt. He felt no need to speak--which was interesting in itself, since often his tongue would run as if it were on wheels--but merely took comfort in his presence. Physical contact, the warmth of another body, was just what he needed to convince himself that he wasn't alone. He drew in slow, steady breaths, swaying against his older self.

He didn't bother trying to comfort the other with words since that's what had gotten them in this mess to begin with. Instead he rubbed over the young Time Lord's back with the tips of his fingers, pressing a soft kiss to the top of his head.

He lifted his head and looked up into his eyes. It had to get better, didn't it? If he was still here. If he was all right. He knew it would. He reached up, threading his fingers through his future incarnation's hair. "Thank you," he said softly.

The Doctor hadn't expected his younger self to sort of pull back that quickly, but something in the other's eyes stopped him from letting go. "Anytime Doctor.", he smiled faintly, leaning just a little into the Time Lord's touch with a relaxed sigh.

He leaned just a little into the touch, unable to help but enjoy it just a little more than he should've. He couldn't really remember the last time he'd shared but a brief hug with anyone and obviously the lack of affection left him a bit needy. Still, he managed not to make a fool of himself...or too big of one really, as he pressed a soft kiss to the other's cheek.

He seemed to tense a little when the other pulled back, blushing faintly at the other's curious look. He didn't try to explain himself, instead kissing the other Time Lord's fingers in response.

He felt a mild rush of relief when the other didn't push him away, gently moving the other's hand, taking it gently in one of his own. He leaned in slowly, brushing their lips together gently. "Is this alright, Doctor?", he murmured, keeping their lips mere inches apart.

He shouldn't agree. He shouldn't want this. It was... peculiar. His hand curled around the back of the Doctor's neck. "Yes," he breathed. "Yes." He closed his eyes and tipped his head up, kissing him softly.
