"No wonder we both passed out," she said with a slight laugh, she really had lost track of time if it had gotten that late before she'd finally succumbed to sleep. "Unless there's a random tiny portal in the floor they fell through but I'm sure there's not." She didn't even know where that had come from but she just shrugged lightly and moved on. "You're right, food first, clear up later." Somehow the idea of Ward knowing anything about brunch took her by surprise, he didn't strike her as the type to spend an afternoon partaking in the pleasures of brunch but that just proved there was still so much she didn't know about him.
"I'm fine with something simple," she said with a genuine smile, "I'm not expecting anything fancy don't worry. I'm pretty sure Stark has things I wouldn't even know what to do with in the kitchen so we should be okay." She looked at his hand for a second before taking it and letting him lead her towards the door.
Skye didn't quite know when or how they'd managed to get comfortable enough with each other to be this way, the casual contact something that they hadn't had for what seemed like an age, and months ago she wouldn't have thought she'd ever get there again but here they were. It might have been unexpected but it certainly wasn't unpleasant at all, far from it but she wasn't about to start over thinking things, that would probably come later.
