There was a pang in his heart at her words, a quiet reminder of bittersweet memories, but as she pulled herself back into awareness, he managed to push down everything that had bubbled up from that and quirked a smile at her. "It definitely did," Ward said, not entirely sure what else to say about it. It had been nice, and considering how much better he'd slept than he had in ages and how she'd seemed to as well, there was something to be said for it. But still, he didn't feel entirely comfortable making that sort of declaration himself. "Are you... good?" He asked, looking down at her. He'd noticed that she hadn't made any room to move from where she was tucked against his side, but he wasn't about to say anything about that, either.
"Hungry?" It was an awkward question, but it was easier than fully acknowledging what had happened or what it might mean so immediately. They had just gotten back to a place where they were easy enough being friends, and this? This might end up complicating that if they tried to talk about it. At least, right now. "We kinda slept through breakfast."
