"Oh, no. We certainly couldn't have that," Ward said with an amused roll of his eyes. It was odd, how easy this was, how naturally they could just fall back into patterns that Ward had thought they'd left behind forever, after everything had came to light. And yet, here she was, prodding at him with the same vigor, the same edge that she had before, and he definitely couldn't ignore how, for the moment, it all just felt like nothing had happened. In all honesty, he didn't think romantic comedies were that bad. There were some that were moderately enjoyable, but the entire concept was something that left him feeling out of sorts.
