It was ridiculous, absolutely and pointedly ridiculous, but it was so Skye that Ward was willing to run with it. As it was, he'd anticipated far worse, something more lasting, more permanent, and while he was certain that he wasn't out of the woods yet, there was a certain relief that came with the fact that security guards hadn't wanted to deal with it. The urge to shift responsibility that came with a lot of middle men had saved him on numerous occasions, and right now, he was really happy that they'd handed him off to Skye without too much debate.
He probably wouldn't be later, but Ward had learned awhile ago that you have to take everything moment by moment if you wanted to actually get any enjoyment out of life. If you took things as a whole, you'd only ever end up disappointed.
"Will I be enduring this alone?" Ward asked, a playful smile dancing on his features. "I imagine you'll have to supervise. I'm not trustworthy enough for the honor system."
