"Are we enemies?" Eva asked with a smile before she took a drink of Nathaniel's wine because hers was gone. "I feel like we both know we aren't." Her eyes left Nathaniel only to shifted sideways to look at her father and give him props for his reference and for the sentiment behind it. The Latina placed the glass back down nearer to Nate. "I won't force you," she circled back.
"You can live wherever you'd like, of course. But I do intend to have some control over the situation. Run things by Brayden, make a decision we can all be happy with," she suggested. The poor kid had had a lot of changes lately, and with a mutation like his budding, it wasn't exactly ideal to keep uprooting him. But she did believe being with other kids and having a familial situation surrounding him could be better than not.
Zap's hand came down on her father's real knee, and she gave it a few pats. "I think we've made some headway," she said with a grin, then took a self-recommended drink of the ice water she'd been provided since sitting. Then, to Nate: "When do you want me?"
