"By all means," Nathaniel said once Eva had mentioned the Allfather himself. Nate steadied his mind and tried not to respond to Eva's reactions emotionally, though the man's hackles were clearly raised. Although, as quickly as Nathaniel deduced this meeting had been a complete failure - Evangeline started to speak terms.
"What are your parameters?"
"Well, I..." Alright, Nate started then listened. "Those are agreeable," he said and came to the realization that he'd just been asked to move into the manor house. "Yeah, huh..." Nate was uncharacteristically speechless. This woman was the first person to accomplish that in a great while. "Why do I feel as though this is a 'keep your enemies closer situation?'" Nathaniel finally spoke after a long sip of his wine.
"And you thought this meeting was about me," Forge chimed in but the typically-proud man felt as though his pride had taken some damage. "For your sake, I do hope you aren't lying to her. You'll need all your friends on the other side, Shadowman," Forge smirked then took another large bite of bread.
