They say I'm a control freak
Who: Everyone ; no really, you're all invited.
Where: Waldorf Astoria in New York
When: Thursday 19th; Noon onwards
What: A slightly belated but utterly extravagant party in celebration of the success of Stark and Murdock versus the Government; aka, Emma throws a party for our gallant heroes.
Warnings: Will update as needed
Note: Sort of spur of the moment; everyone would've received an electronic invite somehow; whatever side you were on in the SHRA, you're invited! (also it's a secret YAY ENGAGEMENT party too but don't tell Pepper and Tony)
The short notice wasn't entirely a problem for Emma, considering she could drop enough money, not even notice the cost, and wave it off like it was simply a new pair of shoes meant that no one questioned her paying whatever it took to get a lovely garden luncheon within three days.
The weather hadn't quite turned dour, still fairly nice and warm enough that the gardens of the Astoria were fine for throwing the event. Numerous tables were set up around the area for sitting and eating, banquet tables laid out with a host of finger foods and plated foods for meals, an open bar by the tree line for those really wanting to celebrate.
Emma hadn't really picked a list of people to attend, she'd simply taken the names from Tony and Mr Murdock's petition and found a way to invite them all, along with the people within her own address book and those attached to the lawsuit on their side.
The point was to enjoy the win, to celebrate something rather than fold in and decompress. They needed the uplifting that it could offer, some more than others, and maybe some just needed the chance to reconnect. Emma went as far as to offer out rooms within the hotel for anyone visiting from West Chester who didn't want to return that night. She had the garden areas for as long as she wanted them after all, there was nothing to say that people had to leave at a certain time.
It was just an opportunity to enjoy themselves, one that Emma hoped a host of people too.
(Feel free to post open or closed thread among yourselves or whichever; time specifics are cool too. Whatever everyone wants, it just open to be a celebration time.)
