"Crashing?" Spider-Man sounded truly dismayed. Landing on his hands, he did a back handspring, planting his feet in the middle of one of the jewel thieves chests. The man flew back with a loud "oof!" crashing into a display case. "Guess we'd better wrap this up then."
Spidey's senses told him the other guy was trying to slip out behind him, but he was prepared. "You're not gonna leave without saying good-bye, are you?" One arm pointed at the man lying amid the broken glass and diamond rings, the other pointed back, Spider-Man webbed the two thugs together, using them as counterweights over the metal ceiling beam, suspending them in mid-air. "Hang tight, guys. The rest of the party'll be coming soon."
Leaving the way he'd come in, Spidey webbed his entrance closed so that no one would be tempted to go in before the police got there.
Flinging himself back up onto the roof, he scanned the area for a sign of Black Cat. He had no illusions about what she had been doing in that jewelry store. The question was, where was she now? And had she gotten away with anything?
