Who: Iron Fist, Wolverine, Open to Sabretooth (a little later!)
What: While looking for the mysterious "bear" loose in NYC, Iron Fist runs into someone just as hairy as a bear, but a lot shorter-- though probably from the same part of Canada.
Where: NYC, NY
When: Thursday, August 1st [backdated because Allison am lame]
Rating: PG-13 - R depending on language.
A bear, loose in New York and mauling people to death? Well, it wasn't the most ridiculous thing Danny had ever heard- but it certainly didn't make a hell of a lot of sense. He was beginning to think that investigative journalism had stopped bothering with the investigative part of their job description.
In their defense though, the trail had gone cold- and it seemed like everyone else, the police included, had stopped asking questions about how a bear got loose in New York and why there was only seemingly one group of people who ended up dead in a conference room (and how'd the bear get on the elevator anyway?). All of that seemed very suspicious (and a little to convenient) for Danny to believe-- and since no one else seemed willing to look into what was actually going on here, it was the Immortal Iron Fist who found himself currently breaking into a crime scene. Oh, if Misty's cop friends could see him now.
It was much easier to sneak past security at night when there were far fewer employees hovering around, though Danny regretted his choice to take the stairs around the twentieth floor. Luckily there were only twelve more before he reached his mark and ducked into the office space.
It smelled horrible. Someone (or some bear) had taken an awful lot of pleasure in exposing some of the most vile smelling inner workings of the human body and even though it had been nearly a month since the incident- and there was obvious clean up going on- it was not a pleasant experience.
Stepping over the stains in the carpet, Danny crouched beside each bloody puddle, counting bodies. Near the desk, a slew of papers were scattered across the floor, bloody, lost in the mess.
And yes, while it did look like an angry bear had passed through- there was nothing else in this room that made that story make anymore sense.
