The lands around Retreat were all private and generally were wide open with long sight lines and beautiful views. Today, however, training had become the main purpose of this landscape. Empty buildings were constructed, some upwards of 10 stories, others a bit lower; there were a select few that had skywalks from one building to another, above 'streets'. The entire thing was meant to look like a section of a generic city. They were spaced a great deal apart too to allow for it, to allow for the look of the city and feel of one as well.
There were robots and AI of various sorts that were stationed in places hidden from the two teams, with a simulated supervillain of some sorts hidden as well to push for it all. Atop one of the tallest buildings was a timer, that timer had next to it a scoreboard with room for penalties and deductions.
The buildings themselves had separate floors with makeshift 'furniture' for realism added in here and there throughout the buildings, including mannequins and other essentials to a 'city'.
Tony, in full armor but with his helmet closed back into his armor, and a full bar sitting next to the starting line where he was drinking a martini, looking at the others as they walked up, clearing his throat...
"Alright, so he's how this is going to go. Each one of you will have 'individual' trials, to garner your weaknesses and strengths. JARVIS will be going over everything and loading it up into a database where I can go over it later, as well as Steve. If he can read a computer. I might put the numbers in abacus form. Anyway, no big deal," he then took a drink from his martini before standing up at his full height.
"There's a timer, it counts up not down. We'll time each individual, and any civilians hurt/killed will result in a deduction in time. Best course of action? Limit casualties, and finish the obstacle. The obstacle will include many bots, the amount of bots will change for each person depending on strength, power, oh and to help test your adaptability level. At the end will be my own personal simulated supervillain, I'm not going to tell you which as it can change. Why? Because each of you will be fighting something that counters your strengths so you can adapt there as well..."
Another drink, "Then, another go through. This time with teams. Same rules apply, except now we add in teamwork ability. It'll be Avengers and West Coast Avengers as the teams obviously. Oh, and finally, we'll have a run through with mixed up teams."
He then smirked as he took a long drink, staring back at them all as he turned up his brow, "You'll start here. You'll have exactly one minute to get to a place you feel gives you the best advantage, and then the simulation will start. Who wants to go first?"
