It has been eight months since the destruction of Sokovia. The Avengers have survived the media frenzy, thanks to expert handling by Pepper Potts and the team at Stark Industries. The team itself has recovered, though some wounds remain bloody. The President of the United States is gearing up to give his State of the Union address and everyone in America expects him to make a statement regarding the Ultron Crisis, the Avengers, and how the government plans to handle superpowered individuals, both domestic and alien, in the future. Whatever happens next will surely shape the future of the team.
State of the Union is a plot-centered GPSL that follows the Avengers and their close associates as they navigate the treacherous waters of public opinion, politics, and the threats they are sworn to defeat. Taking place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it is compliant with the events of Age of Ultron (for the most part) and forges ahead with an AU timeline toward Civil War through the collaborative storytelling of its members. Characters adapted from 616 are welcome and characters already in the MCU can be altered (here's looking at you Natasha, Clint, Pietro) from their Age of Ultron circumstances if you so choose! Aside from the established Avengers team, I'd love to see a Namor, Peter Parker, Black Cat, Kate Bishop, Maria Hill, and Daredevil brought in. |
