Some sort of description of your game - AU Marvelverse, set at Xavier's school. Students are split into teams for study and practice of their powers. Real time, with dedicated, active players.
I'd love to see: Beast, Storm, Mystique (comment for backstory), Spiderman, Human Torch, more "Avengers", Domino, Cannon Ball, Dazzler, or any others. :)

ANOMALOUS

Started in July of '07, Anomalous was a long running game on GJ, and was also brought back on IJ closing somewhere during the summer of '08. We're currently retconning the premise, and we hope to start it again.
PREMISE
Welcome to a world influenced by power.
There are no superhuman heroes, no dastardly villains here. You may be used to hearing stories of people joining secret teams and forming legions, flying around on planes, but this is not a comic book. This is a generation of gifted humans who, in the past six months, have lost their once normal lives. Some of these "mutations" were worse than others, but together they all are united in the fact that their lives will never be the same again.
People began to notice things wrong with themselves. Wounds would heal faster, massive headaches would ensue, and suddenly they were in a different room. A man prayed to God that the next time he opened his eyes, his glance wouldn't destroy whatever fell within his gaze.
This evolutionary jump wasn't just isolated to the United States. All over the world, people began to realize their true potential. Foreign governments are trying to recruit them to military forces, wanting nothing more than to control them. Scientists search out these special people, their intentions both good and bad. What was once considered normalcy has been corrupted. Questions with no anwers are on the tip of everyone's tongue: How, or why; are they connected? Is there a greater purpose, be it dark or light, that they must face?
Already, some of these "freaks", as they were called, were using their powers for personal gain, and there was a concern that it would escalate. They would rob, they would cheat, and they would kill to seek vengence. Then there were those who tried to stay out of the limelight, frightened of their powers and the consequences that came with them. Some even found these powers as a way to gain attention, using them to save lives and get their name flashed on the evening news.
These are The Anomalous - the changed, the powerful, the revolutionized.
WANTED Anyone, and everyone is wanted and needed! We're retconning the game, so everyone is adored!
Anomalous is a AU X-Men game, if you didn't notice from reading the above. It's kind of like heroes meets marvel, and we lasted about 12 months before -- and we're hoping to recreate the same thing.

X-PROJECT: AN X-MEN MOVIEVERSE RPG  Jono Starsmore Slightly rebellious son of middle-class English parents, Jono managed his mutant powers with minimal issues until the Great Mutant Headache of X2. The pain caused him to lose control of his psionic energies, blowing a hole in his chest and destroying the lower part of his face. Incredibly, he survived, ultimately arriving at Xavier's to learn control of the blasts. Control wasn't forthcoming, but the embittered loner found love instead, in the form of Paige Guthrie. A further powers accident cost him his entire body, until a daring plan by the genius Forge (who harboured his own feelings for Paige), enabled him to fully reconstruct himself. The bliss of a whole body was not to be, and an encounter with Kevin Ford cost him that hard-won form. Eventually he was able to partially rebuild himself, and he and Paige returned from Muir Island Research Facility, Paige to resume her work in the medlab, Jono to resume teaching Music.
X-Project is an X-Men movieverse RPG on Livejournal. Set after X2, we've been running since May 2003 and use a combination of in-character journals and email/IM logs. There's a number of settings for a range of play, whatever your preference, and we accept new characters as well as encourage people to adopt one of our orphans.
