i've been hit with inspiration. although this is probably a FAT chance with the number of rpers in the marvel fandom, but would anyone be interested in a game based on a traveling circus's side show/freak show? obviously centered around those that are superhuman, the circus would probably be the only accepted place where mutants could live and prosper freely; viewed by society as a pleasurable oddity, who appreciate the entertainment that their abilities have to offer? this is the background to many x-men themed characters like nightcrawler, blob, and unus, for example. a more "modern" freak show, exploiting mutants, etc?
add in some crazy, stage codenames and bam! it would probably also be like the 1932 movie, Freaks! where they grow relationships, make friends, and care for one another, all of that good character development stuff! then maybe we could have a crazy, manic P. T. Barnum-like figure, who'll probably actually be Mystique in disguise, using this exploitation of human acceptance for a personal gain? well, i'm not sure on THAT, but what i'd like to know if this sparks any interest.
if not amongst rpers, then how about for a private storyline? |
