You know many of the characters. Hulk, Iron Man, Spiderman, Wolverine, Elektra, Daredevil... they've become more popular in the last decade due to the rise of the Superhero movie, but they've been around for decades more. Captain America has been an icon since World War II. Many of us grew up on the Spiderman and X-Men cartoons. The Marvel Universe is where the characters of Marvel Comics exist. They are powerful heroes, but more importantly, they are fascinating characters!
Marvel Team Up exists in an alternate Universe, based on the Marvel Universe. The story takes place at Xavier's Institute, which receives grants from S.H.I.E.L.D. to educate young powered individuals and to teach them control of said abilities. The Professors and students (High School and Jr. College) are all famous Marvel Characters. Their histories may be a bit altered and abridged, but they are still the same characters at heart.
We are an active community of experienced, mature players playing various characters. We launched on May 1, 2009 so new players are encouraged, welcomed and you won't feel like you've missed out on a lot! Our current players are looking for several characters including, but not limited to, Emma Frost, Psylocke, Iron Man, Captain America, Cyclops, Black Widow, Dr. Strange, Mystique, Shadowcat, Banshee.

Anyone interested in Beast or Nightcrawler or Angel - our Moderator has pre-made icons (yes, she's very good at sharing!). We also offer help with other PB suggestions and/or icon-making.

The day after the Nuclear Holocaust.
The beginnings of 2010 were a turnaround for the United States economy. An unconventional ally had reached out to lend a hand and donate money to a few secretive Government projects taking place all over the country. It is only four months though before things begin to sour, turning worse when an unnamed terrorist group releases a video worldwide depicting US citizens being tortured and killed at the recognizable hands of the Government, doctors and even the US army. The talks go nowhere and questions go unanswered. Angered and embarrassed, the once-allies strike May 20th in the early morning with nuclear force, leveling major cities and killing millions. The President is missing. The secret Government projects begin to stir and wake. With the borders closed there is no way out and no one answering questions. Civilians versus the military versus the others, and one side has been waiting a long time for their freedom.
It is May 21st. Today is Day Zero. |
