Tony sighed, back turned to the computer and staring out the window of Stark Industries. The place was an eerie sort; full of the memories of his father, and even some of his mother, a place was an homage to the man that people loved, and that Tony never really knew. It felt surreal standing in there, knowing his father would never again step foot in this very room.
Hands resting behind his back, he just stared out the window, exhausted. He'd been here for the better part of 8 hours. When he'd first arrived, he hadn't expected to get this far in his search. AIM had announced they were responsible for his father's death, and Tony hadn't been happy to accept that; instead, he'd become far more enraptured with the idea of finding his father's killers, and more importantly? How they did it.
The first thing he thought of was how his father had died, the car accident; how did AIM operate, they operated in tech. How do you kill Howard Stark in AIM fashion? You turn Stark's own tech against him, and that's just what Tony had assumed they did. His father's car had been high-tech and technology dependent. Of course, getting into his car wouldn't be as simple as hacking some wireless out put; they'd have to know a lot more, and to do that they'd have to get access to Howard himself and that led Tony to coming to Stark Industries and his father's personal computer.
AIM was always a step ahead, and Tony intended to find out just how they were ahead of Stark Industries. So when he heard a beep from behind him, Tony knew Jarvis was done and he turned to find the computer broken down into a series of codes. Tony dropped into his seat and began to scan through the algorithms before him, hunting for anything that stood out to him.
Eight hours. Eight. That's how many hours he was here letting Jarvis run through everything, and break down non-essentials and give Tony access to the files for the past year. He began to cross-reference files and code, what had been accessed numerous times last year and this year. By his father and by Obadiah. As he began to do this, he began to search through important and non-important data.
With JARVIS' help, breaking down complex equations and code was easy, the two of them working in tandem as he sifted through the horde of information. Eventually, Tony however found something that was clogging up the code. It was tiny, a simple change in algorithm that wouldn't effect much in the way the computer worked. It was rooted, and it was beneath a ton of back-logged information. It was so well hidden, he knew it would be able to root itself throughout, without ever being found out. This anomaly was essentially a spy virus, and it was feeding information somewhere.
"Jarvis, break the program down and send everything you can on its specs to my personal computer at home."
Jarvis, "Yes sir. Would you like me to remove the program?"
Tony eyed it, and then grinned, "No... leave it in there. Don't let them get wind of us approaching; instead, can you reroute other files, important files, so they're not feeding into it, and instead it's being fed something else? Set up dummy files, with falsified information, make sure it looks real though. Alter real information if you have to, just don't let them know we're onto them... then get me Steve Rogers and Pepper, we need to have a chat with them all."
