Aurora was pacing. Sort of. She wanted to fly but she couldn't with maman and papa around. But she was impatient! Kurt was arriving soon!

It was all she'd talked about when she'd gotten home with Jean-Paul the day before. She'd made a friend, his name was Kurt, he was coming to Thanksgiving, he was from Germany, he was very wonderful and handsome and sweet! The Martins had exchanged glances, a little surprised by the whole thing, but pleased their troubled daughter was making friends and fairly sympathetic to the plight of a foreign student needing a place to celebrate the local holiday. And so the four person meal was expanded to five with a minimum of fuss.

But what if he couldn't find the house? What if the bus from the school had trouble? Aurora checked her messages for the hundredth time. She didn't like text messages in general, but since she couldn't fly to meet him, it was the best she could do. No texts that she could see. Maybe she was checking it wrong? She was about to find Jean-Paul and have him do it when the doorbell rang. Finally!

"I'll get it!" Aurora yelled in French at the top of her lungs and dashed for the door, remembering only at the last moment not to use super speed. But she went as fast as she could without it!

Aurora flung open the doors, grinning hugely. "Kurt!" she exclaimed and kissed him once on each cheek, as she did with people she liked. And then, because she liked him in particular, she threw her arms around him in a hug.

Kurt was nervous about going to visit Aurora and Jean Paul, but Aurora had insisted that he come and it wouldn't be a big deal. He was blue! Sure he had expected the kids at Xavier to not be surprised when he arrived, but a majority had been and he was now very aware of his blue. Wearing a hooded jacket with shades and his hands in his pockets, he'd done what he could to teleport there. He had to stop to take breathers every once in awhile (not wanting to overdo it again) but he'd made it to there!

He rang the door bell and then heard movement within the home. Soon the door opened wide and Aurora was there, giving him a kiss on each of his cheeks before hugging him. The fresh bread in his hands smooshed between the two of them.

"Ah, fraulein Aurora, it is good to see you too!" he let out a laugh and gave her a hug in return after managing to save the bread from total ruin. He looked into the home, removing the sunglasses, "Are you sure it is okay for me to be here?"
